ahhh FUCK! i have done everything he has done and when im speeding it up it all lags out of hell! i tried to render it and it suddenly finds aout the movie which actually lasts for 5 min suddely gets to 1 sec im so angry !!!!!
PLEASE HELP ME I HAVE FILMED FOR 2 HOURS AND NOW I CANT DO ANYTHING WITH IT!!!!!
@Waveriders14 Sorry i had fucked the options could you check one thing for me?
Go to Options>Preferences>editing and what new still image do you have? that guy with the top rated comment told me to change it and now i dont know the defult.... and as well when i am redering my videos 1080p it takes 12 hours to render????? my film is about 1 hours - 1 hours 30 min
@TheNorwaySkaters The default for a new still image is 10 seconds. However, I have mine set to 4 because 10 is entirely too long. Also, yes. My videos take just as long to render and it is such a pain. Just make sure that your computer doesn't go into sleep mode or anything in the middle of the rendering because then part of the video will be blacked out and you'll just have to re-render the whole thing :/
@luislinnovel Yeah but I'm still paying off the camera itself so I don't want to go out and buy even more stuff. Plus i don't do time lapses as much any more so it's not a big deal to me.
@jkcrewproductions Well I'm not sure why you wouldn't be able to click on it. You'll just have to leave that step out and do the CTRL+drag method a couple more times.
@luislinnovel A time lapse is a video that shows time lapsing, which means it shows time going by fast, which means the video is sped up. I don't have a "time lapse camera" so I don't know how to make a time lapse with one of those. Also, in my opinion, I don't think a picture time lapse looks as good as a solid video. It's just not as smooth.
So you mean that i should ctrl drag it down to as high speed as i can, render it, import the rendered "time lapse" again and render it again and so on? :P
@Waveriders14 Exactly. So just follow the tutorial, but ignore the parts where I talk about the Event Velocity. It'll just take you a couple more renders than it would for somebody who has Pro.
@kraut88 No, not too bad. If you want to keep the full quality, save each rendering as an uncompressed file and it should keep really good quality. The only problem with uncompressed files is that they take longer to render and the files are HUGE!
Thank u very much, I didnt use it for time lapse but for my montage game,i didnt know how to make the sky and clouds sto realistic cuz the colors was very bad but u helped me! so thank u again!
can any1 help me? i am trying to do time lapse in SV pro 9 but when i insert all my photos (after setting the lenght of added file to 1 frame) i got 2photos(2frames) and 1 black frame... any1 help pls?
@davidrodriguez500 Go to Options>Preferences>Editing. Then where it says "New Still Image Length (seconds)" change it to .017. That way every time you drag in a picture, it will last only 1 frame. I would do all this before you have your pictures in the timeline. Then after you change the settings, drag all you pictures into it. You might have to move some of the pictures but it's pretty easy if you know how to "Group" pictures.
HEY I forgot you had these tutes of Vegas...Here I'm writing to you with suggestions on a vid you just sent us on your wave board. So I take back what I wrote there...the audio job really lacks, I 'm looking to the right of that WAVE VID AND SEE this Vegas you did. Sorry...NEVER mind I'm gone
@cackums I don't have Vegas 10, but it should definitely work the same. The layout might be different, but I'm sure it wouldn't be that difficult to figure it out.
@ronaldinhoadib I'm not sure. Most cameras split up the video so the clips aren't that long. Maybe just take it into another editing program and try to split it in half and then render them separately and then drag them into Sony. How long is the video anyway?
@jOeCoOL9111 Glad I could help. And sorry, no. The only way to cut down the rendering time is to render the video at a MUCH lower quality, and even then it takes a really long time.
Dude that's awesome, I never figured to add Event Velocity to slow it down nicely, the rendering and doing it over again is quite nifty too, I wanted to try that out, but to render an hour long vid, it took like 8 hours, so it got me off wanting to test it out, but as you showed it works, and this will definitely come in handy, thx man!!
@Saggmos95 On the very left of the video timeline is where all the video tracks are. Select the entire audio track by clicking the track (you will know it is selected when there is a little blinking dot by the track number) and just press delete on your keyboard.
@coolioskate3 Okay, that's what I meant. I have Pro and Movie Studio Platinum so I always just call it Platinum. Movie Studio doesn't have the Event Velocity. The time lapse will work just as good though, you will just have to compress and render the video a couple more times than if you had Pro.
@Waveriders14 i think what he is saying is : you did not think about what you wanted to say there for you start to ramble. hint show an example of what will be worked on than do the tutor. a lot of people talk to much instead of keeping it to the point. hope this helped. ps thx for the vid
@lllraverslll Yeah I know, but some people enjoy a little goofing off on the side. I prefer tutorials with a sense of humor. I also learn better when there's something about a tutorial that stands out from the rest because I'm more likely to remember it. And I'm glad the vid helped you.
@ooKRE8Roo in order to get the best quality you can from your HD camera you have to open up the project properties (alt+enter). change the template to the one that is most if not exaclty like the way that your camera records. what i mean by that is if your camera shoots 1080p 30 frames a second, choose that one. when you're done editing and you click render, choose the template that also most matches your camera and make sure all the settings are set to best. thanks for subscribing by the way!!
wow nice, now please help me here, i plan to do a video all night like 8 hours, can i compress it and stuff so it fits into the 10 minit youtube time?
thanks for the tutorial man and it really helps but do u think u could help me with something else? i must have clicked something on sonyvegas one day and now it wont line up clips itself and it doesnt have that orange bar that stops when your dragging your clip do u think u might know whats up
Hello, thank you for uploading this video i was wondering how to do this in sony vegas pro. im actually new to sony vegas i just got this program a couple of days ago. In my channel i have alot of me drawing and i make them in time lapse i made all those videos in windows movie maker. i got sony vegas now and my only question is when you render a video is there any way to make it render faster maby making it in lower quality but how do u do that it just takes too long.. please reply Thanks
@orangemonkey92 i'm glad this video helped you. to answer your question, after you click "render as", you can choose whatever type of file you want to save it as and click "custom". at the bottom of the screen that shows up, click the tab that says "project". instead of choosing "best" like i did in the video, you can choose either "draft" or "preview". the draft setting will lower the quality more than the preview setting, but it will decrease the rendering time. hope this helped.
@Waveriders14 its less time but its still a long time i have to wait 3hrs for it to render when i did it in draft. but i have another question u know when u click the ctrl key and speed it up a little then u get the green line on the clip and you drag it up to 300. after i do that if i try to make the clip smaller it actually cuts off part of it what do i do. Thanks for your help
@orangemonkey92 honestly, i'm not really sure. but the way it sounds, i think you might be dragging the end of the clip too far to the left. just make sure that you only drag it to the first little triangle (and when i say first i mean the one furthest to the left).
@Waveriders14 Oh thank you!! the problem was that i didin't drag it back to the 1st triangle making the clip repeat again so thats why it looked like it cut part of it, i didn't even notice the little blue triangle until u said it.
