What i would do differently is simple... keep the setup 100 % as it is, but add a fan on each light to help dissipate heat, if needed... When i am going to make this i am adding a 80mm Case fan for the heat on each light... Just a friendly suggestion...
@xxxbakirxxx, There are many different types of T12 (different kelvin ratings), but they should all work with the same light ballast that is rated for T12 bulbs.
The instructions and photos of the build can be found in the description of the video. Those Emperor filters are pretty big so its a tight fit. But I got it to fit, so you should be able to make yours fit too. Just do alot of test fitting before you go all out in the build.
LMAO just when you though you have heard enough Farmville in 1 day poof here it is again great looking flowerhorns asuming theres 2 because you have the seperator in and awesome idea for lights/ hood
@iwetmy The hood does not clamp to the tank. It rests on the little lip within the top frame of the tank, just like a normal hood purchased from the petstore.
@sk81514 I'm from Slovenia. I know that PVC is basic. It is in most stores but some more complex elements are very hard and expensive to find. For example bulkheads (need one for my soon to be aquarium filter). I spent one month tracking it down. Ooo and it costs 20€ I mean come on 1/2' peace, so much.
PS: The light houseing is gutter (emm that thing on the rooftop)?
bigger tank dude, but the setup is shit hot good job.

Dude, that fish is way too big for a 22.5 gallon space... If the whole 55 were his, he'd be cool! Let him roam!

Is there anyway to have two T12 lights in one gutter? Or will two not fit?
tiftagirl 5 months ago
@tiftagirl Yes, each rain gutter can fit 2 T12 bulbs, for a total of 4 T12 bulbs.

@rcarchive1 are these lights sufficient for plants? sorry for the stupid question
xxxbakirxxx 4 months ago
@xxxbakirxxx, yes these lights would be sufficient for plants if you get the appropriate bulbs for supporting plants.

@rcarchive1 do the T12 bulbs work or is there different types of T12 with higher kelvin?
