It's pointless to tell someone to stop listening to a band they like no matter how talentless they are; therefore it's not an issue of taste. But what I can't believe is how someone so artistically mediocre such as Fallout Boy could have a following so adamant about how good they are. Most of the time I prefer the raw edge of a live version, but I like to also feel that a band has the talent they show on their album. I don't think this is the case with FOB; they need computers to sound decent.

FACT-any band will sound more precise with protools than without it. but i don't see anything wrong-there's no vocals horribly off pitch, or even slightly. there's no mistakes on instruments that i can tell. there's excellent energy and presence. what's so horrible about this vs the cd?

OK, for one, the drummer uses simplified beats compared to the record; two, the instruments are a bit off pitch due to sloppy fingering; three, the lead singer doesn't have the range to sing this, yet magically he did when they recorded it; and four: FACT- not all bands need Protools to sound good, but Fallout Boy apparently needs it more than anyone else. Yet again, I say keep listening to them if you like them, but they are not good musicians, and I think this is a bad song on top of that.

Explore any noteworthy singer outside of the seemingly narrow range of music you listen to, and you'll realize that this singer is FAR from the best. Even a big fan cannot argue that this singer is anywhere near the top, considering talent, tonality, range, influence, etc.
