  • they're called KILLER whales for a reason..... haha

  • i didn't know killer whales eat other whales

  • @catchfree84 Oh they do. There have even been cases were they have attacked whales as large as sperm whales and even blue whales. They have also been seen killing sharks like the whale shark and even the great whites. Using such advanced techniques as putting sharks and rays into a tonic immobility

  • @pepparmostheelder

Sperm whales and Blue whales? I'd like to see that. Now don't get me wrong, you are very possibly right, it's just that a mammal such as sperm whale, the worlds largest predator and the blue whale which is the largest that have ever existed, would be capable of defending themselves.

  • @ItsTheBibby Oh they can deffend themselfs, but against big packs of orcas, that can come in packs to even 20-50 individuals. Even the biggest of animals can fall prey to a well co-ordinated orca attack. A simply google will answer your question, first of I tried, but I also saw the discovery and animal planet program were they talked and showed footage from the attacks.

  • @pepparmostheelder

Have you ever seen a sperm whale attack an Orca though :) Or another whale for that matter?

  • @ItsTheBibby There is video footage of attacks yes

  • @ItsTheBibby sperm whales inn a full pack they can defend them self, but even if they are inn a full pack, the killer whales can still kill most of them. only the large males have teeth to really scare off the killer whales, but a single male with no pack can be eaten by killer whales. dont get me wrong, in a straight up fight, the killer whales would probably lose. But thats what makes the killer whales so spesial, they use tactics. slowly exhasting it before going in for the kill.

  • after free willy i always thought killer whales were super friendly and all but they fuckin crazy

  • Did you know that killer whales ARE NOT WHALES their actually dolphins its a FACT!

  • @harmless1231 wow do u want a medal for ur information...

  • @sameerhamna009 SORRY i am only 13 and its my fave fact about a dolphin. not my fault!

  • @harmless1231 awww m sorry. i was just joking and happy new year harmless..

  • @sameerhamna009 iits okk

  • @hrubelsucht Why take facts from Wikipedia? trolls would change everything.

  • @carmie1818 Whale dissapearing have to do stuff with nature, How come the Basilosaurus, A 60ft whale got extinct 45million years ago. BECAUSE OF NATUre. Learn about whales history then tell me what you learned. I expect comments after you studied animals.

  • @OddPieceLady Orcas are dolphins.

  • Awesome

  • LOL! Save the Whales: Kill a Whale! I bet the hippies are planning an advertising crusade against the bullies-Killer whales. "Stop it you big meanies! Stop it."-(to be read in the most whiney-doped up -vapid voice imaginable)

  • 0:05 I pity it.

    It's so cute.

  • whaoooooooooooooooooow

  • ORCAS are COOL!!! Whales in general are cool and should NOT be hunted, period!!!

  • maybe if that huge ship, that's sending out large amounts of electromagnetic waves into the ocean, wasn't there to attract the minke whale to follow them into the death trap of fuckin killer whales this whole thing wouldnt of been filmed

  • @ramiallam I think that space aliens are to blame.

  • aint nature beautiful

  • damn son i thought i was watching NatGeo. turns out it was gangland. O_o

  • imagenes fantásticas

  • Damn... that's like being in a knife fight with a gang of cannibals and all you could find is a sieve. Oh well, the orcas got a nice feed out of it ;)

  • The other whale should have atlease tried to put up a fight.

  • @hjames78 with what? their gum?

  • @danberner no, his size and strength.

  • I love Orca whales. and I love Minkies' too, so it's a shame to see one having the otehr for a meal, strange how killers will hunt their cousins, yet having said that, Orca's are technicallya species of dolphin having teeth where the Minke has the typical whale filter feeding mouth, maybe some kind of evolutionary trait made them prey on their own kind, who knows. Beautiful animals nevertheless.

  • 1:43 surprise orca buttsecks

  • from being a kid i thought this animal is good and only eats fishes...

  • @volikoto i loved them like dogs because of free willy :D

  • who cares about religion or science just shut the hell up and watch the video

  • @Maloner78 who cares about science? without science you wouldn't be watching this video.

  • To think we're in an extinction event/mass extinction, and over 30,000 species disappear in only a year.

  • poor minke whale :(

  • Very nice.

  • poor minke whale

  • where's Balkan puppy vs soviet cat?

  • مشهد رائع

  • Is it true killer whales save peiople from drowning?

  • @melo15813 yeah.. after they took a bite out from you!

  • description ruins the fight

  • Chuck Norris jokes are getting old... so is Chuck, hes like freaking 70

  • @kpfighter hes 39 lol

  • @MostlyAwsm good one xp

  • Orca. Apex predators or the oceans. Heck, there's even footage of this type of whale taking out a great white shark. Brains AND teeth. Impressive and deadly combination.

  • Alot of queers posting about this vid... this is nature.

  • Tell me again why we should care about whale extinction when they kill each other.

  • @grubelsucht

    ./sigh

Killing each other for food and us killing them to the point of extinction, at the risk of disrupting already fragile ecosystems? You're going to compare the two? The difference is night and day.

  • @grubelsucht It's the same as asking: "tell me why we should save people when they're killing each other?"

  • @Loyal2law You too did not answer the question. Whales I don't care about. Only some humans do I care about. I'd prefer most humans just quit breeding.

  • @grubelsucht Don't breed then. Don't even think of doing birth control, 'cause that will fail =P.

  • @Loyal2law Not whales but those of your ilk will lead the world to its destruction. Religion discourages the study of science, which you need. Now back to the subject: All species will eventually die out, even humans; new creatures will adapt to the new world. If all whales died, their ecological niche would be filled by other creatures and the cycle would repeat. Too many people with diminishing resources of food and water means some humans will kill others to survive. That is nature.

  • Relgion.does.not.discourage.the.study.of.science.but.disagrees.with.the.theory.of.evolution.and.also.science.is.not.solely.based.on.the.theory.of.evolution

  • @IslandPain

What do you mean "science is not solely based on the theory of evolution"? Actual science refers to a methodology of gathering knowledge and information. Are you suggesting that the theory of evolution does not meet this framework of gathering knowledge and information? That this theory does not properly utilize the scientific method?

What religion do you speak of? There are many religions with no overall authority on what they collectively believe.

  • @immortal117 the.religion.of.the.bible.now.don't.tell.me.that.this.old.book.has.nothing.to.do.with.science.and.it.has.proved.what.has.been.found.few.centuries.after.it.was.written.and.even.present.of.what.scientists.have.just.so.gathered.of.knowledge.and.information.

  • @IslandPain

The prevalence of the scientific methodology is because it is seen as a more reliable method of gathering knowledge while also having a built in system of sorts that accounts for new information. I recommend a class on epistemology. For a person who is religious an argument could highlight the assumptions at the core of the scientific method and the resulting limitations arriving from them. For example the assumption of causality or materialism. You would be much better served.

  • @IslandPain <.< Of course science isn't based on the theory of evolution but that's because the theory of evolution is based on science.

Now I don't want to argue about evolution and religion and stuff because I can't be bothered but at least realise it's the other way around.

  • @Wasomacosalo the.bible.was.written.before.science.came.about.and.is.facts.that.science.has.proven

  • @IslandPain Like I said, I don't really care about what you believe, I was just correcting that science made TOE and not the other way around. Though if you think about it, science as been around longer than the bible but it's not until after it that it became known as science.

  • @Wasomacosalo

The scientific methodology has certainly not been around longer than the new testament think of it more as being brought about during the Age of Enlightenment. And science refers to this method, as previous historic inquiries made into the current sciences do not meet the standards of the scientific method thus not science.

  • @IslandPain

The bible is a conglomeration of various texts added through many years. There is no universal interpretation of these texts leading to the many Christian denominations. And the emphasis on different passages likewise differ. Not all Christian denominations take a literal interpretation of the story in Genesis for instance. One being the largest Christian denomination of them all, Catholicism. I'd also recommend learning up on theology instead of stating rather inaccurate info.

  • @IslandPain Oh, also can you please type your sentences properly rtaher than splitting it up with periods?

  • @Wasomacosalo want.to.help.me.fix.my.keyboard.space.bar.does.not.work.

  • @IslandPain Evolution is not theory but fact. Evolution stands as the strongest proof in all of science. It is the basic fact for all biology. Religion is the archaic creed of tribal savages from time long past. However, religion accepted as fact the theories of Aristotle--the flat earth as center of universe et cetera.

  • @grubelsucht but.where.did.the.theory.of.evolution.come.about.more.like.a.twist.from.the.bible.which.is.a.book.of.facts

  • @grubelsucht how do they kill each other? whales don't eat other whales. killer whales aren't whales, they are whale killers

  • @grubelsucht such a naive comment....we should care because we are responsible for their current plight....and every-other endangered animals status in regards to current populations.

  • @carmie1818 We are not responsible for every living creature. Do you want to protect rats, Escherichia coli, Proteus mirabilus, miliary tuberculosis, mosquitos, crocodiles, AIDS, Mycobacterium avium? You are another form of religious nut. Pope John XXIII in the early 1950s declared that humans were in charge of all animals. However, that is not the case. Evolution determines their fate. Over 8 million species exist, most of which we've not yet seen. Species appear and disappear.

  • @grubelsucht You are wrong....species are disappearing for one reason and one reason only; man....religion has nothing to do with this debate, so please remove yourself from that soapbox.

  • @carmie1818 No, species are not disappearing only because of man. That statement shows your ignorance on the subject. You should refrain from further comments until catching up on your education. I haven't the time to explain it in 500 words. Go to Wikipedia for "natural selection." It is said 99% of all species ever to exist have disappeared. Stay in school. You are fortunate I corrected your silly and uninformed errors.

  • @grubelsucht simple fool......whales disappearing has absolutely nothing to do with natural selection...and natural selection has barely occurred in the last 10,000 years, this is simple math fool...dinoaurs were wiped out by natural selection, they account for most of your 99% figure...man has been the main influence of species going instinct...hahahaha....and quoting wikipedia has been the topper to your foolhardy posts...thanks for the laughs, retard

  • @carmie1818 Young person, what you see in this video is natural selection. Those most adapted to the environment will survive. DNA compels these sea animals to compete for the same food resources. Competition for limited resources is a main theme in evolutionary biology. Tell me again what formal study you've had outside your religious indoctrination on biology.

  • @grubelsucht such a fool.....such an unparalleled fool.....where did I say this wasn't natural selection? my assertion was that extinction by natural selection hasn't occurred in thousands of years - man is to blame for animals going extinct, in this case; whales - which is why we should "care about them" - which btw, is a direct quote from your original comment....and last time I checked, an orca has a much different menu then a mink whale - you babbling idiot.

  • @carmie1818 Well, I wish to say that we can measure our concern for these or any animals by their utility to humans. We don’t care about the animals but about the humans, and then “our" humans--just as these two breeds of whales. The more a species’ extinction would affect human well-being, the greater we rate the creature’s importance. Humans want to save some species and destroy others. Ignore nonsense purporting that humans are superior and forget the notion that all life is sacred.

  • @grubelsucht cheers, and good luck in your future YouTube endeavor of attempting to look scholarly with a healthy dose of internet toughness....like we all haven't seen that before.

  • @carmie1818 It's strange to hear that from someone who can barely put one word behind another and much less construct a coherent sentence.

  • @grubelsucht you should inform your father to read the contents of my responses to you slower....and have him point to the words as he reads them to you....there is still hope that you could one day grasp this simple task....but I doubt it.

  • @carmie1818 I doubt you and and grubelsucht will ever stop arguing.

  • @nerfisawesome61009 read his original comment and you will understand - beyond stupid.

    cheers.

  • @carmie1818 I forgot to mention that you are a punk and a sissy.
