The one in Disney World is better. The dinosaurs are more lifelike, and they have a better ice room. But, this one makes up for that with a second level and an octopus that moves.
I don't like the fish, octopus, jelly fish, and snails. That to me doesn't remind me of something in the prehistoric times. They probably had fish back than, but those creatures are things we have around know.
The dinosaurs, ice age room, big insects, (The other one has a Wooly Mammoth in Orlando which is great.), and volcano just make sense to me. That's all they need in my opinion. Forget the aquariums.
Just so you know those snails you speak of are actually called nautilus its a kind of cephalopod that existed about 500 million years ago. Some of those creatures still exist and have evolved very little. KC also has a wooly mammoth. I've been there multiple times with my mom and dad and I think it's a pretty cool place. There are meteor showers that happen every 30 minutes and the Ice Age room gets hit with a meteor and so does the bar!
Hmm, I'd like to see more life to those dinosaurs. It kind of screams "zoo/traveling museum" exhibit to me. Will the critters in orlando be more advanced, perchance? Those stiff, scary robots are what keep me out of Rainforest Cafes. but i love dinosaurs.. hmmm.
Animatronic characters can help attract customers to a venue. Would love to have seen this project with a more focused theme and analog movements (like real animals have). Is it prehistoric dinosaurs or is it underwater theme? The repetitive, up/down moves are the result of low cost valves and controllers. Could have been so awesome! Perhaps the next ones will solve some of these issues.
Let's just say it was not due to our lack of expertise :) Most of the dinosaurs are older, made by a now defunct company called Dinomations. We had nothing to do with those.
Even though the background music is repetitive, haha, I still gave it an uber 5 because I can't wait to see this in Downtown Disney. It'll be the new Rainforest Cafe. All the Giant Jelly-Fish and Dinos. Hehe, it's AWESOME.
i like this place been there five times really cool very cool:)
