@kjsmason2010 Personally I think it's the the fact that inner cities are beginning to remove music from schools. Have you noticed that so called "Urban" music now adays relies heavily on vocals? Hip hop for instance. They don't use instruments, the speak in riddles. But those same guys don't understand how to read Time Signatures, or any music theory. Back when Prince and the Revolution and Ready For The World were making music, more urban kids were learning instruments and how to read music.

Channel Philosophy - Good music doesn't get old, it withstands the test of time.
I doubt the majority of artists nowadays with the music that they put out will be remembered for years to come.
