Why does every DAYS OF THE WEEK song I ever heard always start with Sunday? Sunday is the final day of the week. The day when you get to relax, take it easy and prepare for the new week. MONDAY is the first day of the week. So these songs should start with MONDAY, not Sunday. This has frustrated me since Kindergarten. Though back then I was too young to pay much attention.

Because there are two ends to a week. The front end (start) and the back end. Just like bookends. You don't put both bookends on the same side of a row of books, and you don't put both weekend days on the same side of a row of days on a calendar.

You know, until you said that, I didn't think about how calanders always begin with Sunday. When thinking of THAT, it makes more sense. But I still don't like it when people say that Sunday is the first of the week.

Sunday is the first day of the week. Always has been an always will be. The only reason you think otherwise is because when you went or still go to school Monday was or the first day of the week in your conditioned mind. Saturday is the end of the week. It really isn't rocket science.
