The name of the song is "I cant give you anything but love" It came with vocals of a great jazz singer Im sure you wont be disappointed with it. Cheers.
This was right before the QHC's debut in Zanzibar, Africa, where they were well received, although some of the African tribesmen were taken aback at Django's strange Gypsy customs, and the fact that he made Nin-Nin carry his guitar. The tour was cut short when the band's drummer, Lou, was accidentally run through by a spear during a local ceremony. Ah, drummers.
Guys, the music is *ok* but you should NOT write such lies about Django & the QHCF playing in Japan, or pretend it's a singer, come on, how old are you ? You turn what could have been a funny clip in a scam. Too bad. And too many fake record cracks, also :)
Unbelievable. I can't believe someone would do this to django's legacy. The song's fine without the synth track and the ticks, which could easily be removed.
Whoever did this I wish they'd send me the midi file, I could improve it a bit as far as sound, but very good job on the notes and solo. Had me fooled for a minute. Good job. People quit your bitching, electronic music is it's own art and serves a purpose as well.I just think its wrong to mislead with the description.
Take it easy! Japanese are well known as Imitators and Copyspecialists (like the chinese), haha. If Django Reinhardts music finds back its way to public ears on this way- why not?? Its just funny, and the rhythm is not bad- but I think, Djangos licks are synthesized, too. Maybe theese are resamples of common Django- Phrases, not played by a human player. The way of the binding of notes in some phrases makes me believe that.
He's a good guitarist and he did a nice job of it, but he claimed it was Django, and it isn't. Sorry you don't like the explanation, but there it is. Django's recordings are identified by date; it's usually listed right on the disc. I mentioned it in case someone wanted to hear how it was played on the original recording.
As far as invading Japan, etc., that's your idea, not mine! Cheers.
This is really odd. The violin is being played on a keyboard, probably using the Synful software plug-in emulation. The bass and voice sound unnatural as well. The only real thing you're hearing here is the guitar, and it's not Django. It's clever and I applaud the talent and effort involved, but let's come clean here: This is not a real period recording.
They never went to Japan. When you consider what a big deal it was for them to tour England in 1938, it would be strange for Django's biographers to omit a trip to Japan two years prior! This is just somebody's idea of a joke.
This recording is based on the take recorded on 4 May 1936. Whoever is playing here attempted note-for-note copies of Django's and Stephane's solos. This is another giveaway, as they never played the same solos twice. It's on Volume Four of JSP's "Classic Early Recordings" set. I couldn't find any examples of them playing "Bye Bye Blues."

I actually like this version very much, as I love jazz. As for the voice, I've always had a soft spot for electro and synthesized sounds : )

This is moronic! I think Django and Grapelli would have something to say about this!

It`s a fake voice recorded over the dub version, i refuse to believe that grappelli was so uninspirated in this improvisation.

Here in I can't give You, you hear it very appreciably: Djangos Solo is a "module"- based synthi- sample.

No, my friend. It IS NOT Django :) He had a very special sound, a sepcial way to pick the strings- I never heard an imitator reaching his level.

Good and funny work but this is not Django and the voice of the singer and violin are sampled (synthetic). Better say the true...
