One of the latest revisions to history is that the US oil embargo against Japan was the reason that they attacked Pearl Harbour. The reasons for the embargo - the Japanese slaughter of Chinese and Manchurian civilians, the atrocities committed against the Koreans, etc. - are now conveniently left out, along with the changes in the Japanese government during this time which led to increasingly militant policies. Expect more of this as the WWII generation dies off.
