The $3000 4 wheeler pullin up the tail wasn't even struggling to go through the mud; He was almost idling. I think the rzr is a waste in mud unless it is lifted 6 or more inches, it seems to be bottoming out in those ruts.
I own a Rhino and after seeing this video, I would spend my money on a pedal bike rather than a rzr. A quad is way cheaper and has no problem going through what the rzr struggled in. In Caroline Alberta where I ride, we followed a rzr down a trail and ended up dragging him into the bush so we could get by. Not a good mud machine unless you spend a whack of money. No doubt they're great in the wide open flat spaces or at the track but in the mud, a rzr is a waste of money and time.
lol, they are as big as my friends flat fender, except I'm not sure those tires are = to a 33 X 14.5. When you build something as big as a jeep, its tough to be surprised when it can go though almost as much stuff.
@badmunkie513 um, no, talking about the size of those giant ATVs they make now, and I need to correct myself. My old friends jeep is an early (short) CJ5, not a flattie.
One time he drove it down into a rut on a trail messing around, the side of the rut was up to top of the side of the jeep tub. Another trail user drove by and said, "your stuck now!". He turned the wheel to the right, his buddy got out and locked the hubs, he put it in 4wd and drove out, lol.
@l337pwnage Ohhhh ok, lol Ya ive seen those side by sides like the rzr down in windrock "in tennessee" where i wheel and some of them im face to face with in my jeep,
Hell ive seen them lifted like 4 and 5 inches on 31s and 32s
Btw the CJ5's are a part of jeep history, I loveeee to see them being used and abused, "just not rusted all to tell and back for winter only snow toys, Use them in the WOODS where they belong".......
Probably no stopping a RZR if the clearance is substantially increased. I did notice on the video and on the trails in my neck of the woods the RZR doesn't do as well as a quad. Neat machines tho.
those things are fun to drift on packed in shail driveways. my uncle just bought a white 2010 rzr high performance and its a foot wider than the regular rzrs
First off it's skid trails. Second you have to put lifts and decent tires on RZR's if you want to do stuff like this with em. I have taken a rhino up steep skid trails with water bars ever 50-100ft but I wasn't in the mud either. Those RZR's should be able to go up that shit no problem.
have since i was 10 nd im 16 now and if its wet htey loose traction very easy doesnt mateer if its flat ground or on a hill or even if u got dif lock in the still spin
not true they dont really get that much traction even tho there tires are really wide i watched a show called extreme loggers it was about swamp logging and they have to build a road with downed trees and one got stuck just from getting off the trees
so because you watched a show on the learning channel, your suddenly a expert on the subject? but the show talked about logging in a swamp, and only one got stuck? cmon, those machines are amazing. yea, they arent perfect, but they will go places not many other machines will.
I love how the atv has no problem lol!

Rhino doesn't have crap on the 2012 RZR S
PolarisRZRS30 6 months ago
Looks like the main problem was the driver in the lead rzr. They kept taking bad lines, slowing the rzr behind them down.

@l337pwnage Are you talkin about the ruts from the skidder?
Stand skidder tires "small ones" are about 48 inches wide"
No match for a 33/14.50 on a jeep "I run 32/12.50" but am also a logger, and work in the woods daily
