Peoples warns him and touches him with one finger and Shaft,wanting to impress his female partner somehow turns that into"ASSAULTING an officer" despite everyone seeing what happened. Makes little sense. He starts the conflict with Peoples based on some pretty childish behaviour.

There were only 2 things the researchers made.

the word he says in the restaurant scene is supposed to be MAJIMBE, not MAJEMBE this is Taino for Chief. the second was that Peoples mentioned that he had never traveled, but his accent is that of a 1st generation dominican, his brother's accent is that of a second generation Dominican. I know I grew up half in DR and Half in the states and lived near most of the filming locations.
