I find it really interesting how videos about japanese and korean street food get comments about how good it looks but chinese and thai as well as other southern asian street food gets called nasty and inhumane....
Street food is where Seoul really kicks Tokyo's ass. There is hardly any street food to be found in Tokyo except during festivals. Seoul sidewalks are really buzzing especially at night. Get drunk in a little outdoor tent while slurping noodles, fun stuff.
South Korea has a plenty of its cultural heritages, as a long traditional independent country in the East Asia. Although the amount of its field is not big -it can easily said to be small- it has large quantities of its original cuisine recipes, opening enormous variety of Korean restaurants all over the world. There also are many cultural heritages except its architecture and food culture; Music(Korean traditional classical music and K-pop), Medical science, Celebrities and etc

Lived in Korea for 2 years, loved the people and the food. Just to help out on the dog thing, they eat one type, it is raised like we raise livestock in the states, and they do not eat cats!
While in Korea I had these err...Pastry things (?) that are sort of cooked in molds and containe sweet bean paste! there pretty small but it was only about 1000 won for like 10 of them, :P

While in Korea I had these err...Pastry things (?) that are sort of cooked in molds and containe sweet bean paste! there pretty small but it was only about 1000 won for like 10 of them, :P

shes not that bad. for most people korean is hard to pronounce. of course compared to regular korean she can be said to be 'bad', but i'm sure shes reading off american transcriptions. for something like that, i think does a good job. I've heard way worse

you could know that chinese and korean swallow a lot of protein from animal - porks and cow sometimes chicken- japanese food culture was affected buddism more than other two country(china and korea) so They were not allowed eat meat(especially cow and pork) but fish is ok.

what are you talking about?? Have you been to Seoul?? I have done business there numerous times. Eating dog is a tradition that is dying and is most practiced by the old. I've never seen anyone under 55yrs eating dog. I've never been to Osaka or Tokyo, but I am sure they have an abundance of pollution too. Seoul is no where to be seen in the top 20 list of polluted cities.

Here's how Seoul could attract tourists:
1. clean up the trash on the streets
2. create parks through urban planning
3. remove neon signs and other eye sores
4. close Seoul's open sewers to prevent unpleasant odors
5. create stricter zoning laws to avoid more cookie-cutter apartment complexes. Keep residential, business areas separate.
