  • sorry man, but let's not change the original.

  • "That's turrible

  • Like painting over a Picasso

  • Of all the Raider greats you have JAMARCUS RUSSELL in your video??? Don't quit your day job... RRRAAAIIIDDDEEERRRSSSSSSS!!!!!

  • In all honesty it sounded like you were reading, it did not have a flow to it....but not horrible at all

  • Well Said. Congratulations on winning the NFL Sound off in 99'. I appreciate the advice. I would love to hear some of your material someday if you are stil recording stuff. I will make another attempt at it and apply your reccomendatons when doing it again. Good or bad, any advice would be great. Thanks again.

  • A vaiant attempt. Needs slower pacing and expression, including pauses, and much stronger inflection. A deeper voice register would also help. This is supposed to be "voice of God" stuff. And just so you know that I'm not talking out of school, I WON the nation-wide John Facenda NFL Sound-Off (1999), sponsored by Tommy Boy Music and NFL Films, held at Super Bowl XXXIII in Miami. Steve Sabol, president of NFL Films, was one of the four final contest judges.

  • Wheres the FUN_K

  • rip al davis raider nation

  • no, not enough feeling. not even close. YOU GOTTA FEEL IT

  • impossible to match the original but fun to try... and u have guts putting it out there and open to comments.

  • NO THIS SUCKS; jon facenda ONLY

  • good try.

  • Hi I listened 3 times to your version, it is ok, but alas when you try to follow a legend it is difficult at best, having said that your voice is just not quite deep enough for my tastes in announcing or radio. I will say kudos to you for trying. Also to the one dumbass who said it was gay, go blank yourself, I don't see you putting yourself out there for people to judge and the gentlemen doing this appears to be to kind to tell you to go to hell so I will

  • Thanks for your advice. I agree. It's okay to get negative feedback and it's very encouraging to get constructive feedback. Some of the greats whether it's Michael Jackson, The Beatles, Michael Jordan, Elvis Presley, etc. didn't become great because they had natural talent, they spent hours of practice, made plenty of mistakes, and worked on their weeknesses until they became great. I will re do it and make sure it's in studio next time. That Raider pride will always be in my heart. Thanks..

  • its good but its guna be hard to top the original....hope you do it again in that recording studio like you said.....some negative feedback can help but dont let them haters get you down and never lose that raider pride

  • At last a positive comment. Thanks TheZaid600. I appreciate it. I also appreciate all the negative comments from my critics as well. To all, I have been in this announcing game since 1984. I only strive to get better although you have that one uniqe voice like Mr Facenda that no many could come even close to duplicating. I recorded it from my home computer and used a $60 condenser mic for the voice. Things would be different if this would have been recorded from an actual V/O recording studio.

  • nice

  • Why would you even attempt to cover something like " The Autumn Wind" by John Facenda?? It's perfect, and classic and NEVER needs to be messed with. Nice try but stick to your day job.

  • Thanks for the feedback. I cannot stand up to John Facenda. No one , including myself could even come close. I am millions of miles away. I have over 16 years of radio experience. I recorded my version just after 2 or 3 practice reads.

  • covering Facenda's voice is like trying to cover a Beatles song. good effort though.

    RIP Blanda

  • that was gay...
