this is sweet! until a week ago i didnt appreciate how hard longboarding can be when your bombing down a big ass hill. i used to be one of those ignorant skate kids who just made fun of longboarders but then i tried going down this huge hill and sweet jesus its hard! but damn you guys are so good!

We kind of cheated, when you have equipment designed to take down long hills it is much more comfortable, and fun, to do.

Longboard is a part of my live since 4 years now. It bring me to the sickiest points I know and that could have been impossible to go with a standard board.

The feeling of just hearing your wheel on the road and nothing else is amazing.

i just love to cruise. just try to learn one simple trick while longboarding- so when all the little skater posers are like "yo man!" you can be like- CHA! cross step beeyotches! (or something of the sort)

weak dude. long boarding is fun for sure. but skateboarding is just as fun (if not more). you're just bitter because you're too uncoordinated to do any tricks.

i wouldn't say that. longboarding takes much more balance, coordination and style. skateboarding takes somewhat knowledge of physics, coordination, and you have to be able to know how to place your feet for flips and stuff (haha, i sound like an idiot). and "fun" is just a matter of opinion. and tricks are a huge part in longboarding, just not that many people have heard of dancing and boardwalking. i'd say longboarding is more original too, but i still respect both

Well the great thing is you dont have to choose, you can always do both and practicing one helps with the other.

I havent ridden a shortboard in a year or so and I popped a perfect nollie 360 today screwing around. Board awareness is board awareness and that is a good thing if you like to ride.

when you go to the store just ask to step on whatever boards they have and whatever has a nice feel to you that you think you'd be comfortable on. You might think a long board feels nice or a short board. Just try to find the best board to your comfort that you think will start you out good, that's what i did
