He was still an active wrestler at the time so that was different than getting these guys who all had retired.. Unbelievable performance by Steamboat. At his age, with so many years of forced retirement from his injury, he still looked absolutely amazing. He still managed to put some of the WWE roster to shame with this match.

It must have been overwhelming for Jericho to be there making another classic Wrestlemania moment with the guy whom with his match with Savage was the reason why he got into the business.

Unfortunately Ricky Steamboat was very severely injured last year, and I doubt he'll wrestle again (he is 58 after all), but he never lost it until then. Form is temporary. Class is permanent, and that's what Ricky had. To spend 15 years out of the ring and perform like that? Class.

@Rulinator ricky suffered a burst capillary at the hands of one of the nexus members. otunga or sheffield, with the spinebuster and lariat respectively, it was one of those or another move that ricky hit the back of his head when he took the bump. days later he had a capillary burst in his brain and was told he should avoid taking bumps to the back of the head, or it can result in injury with more permanent type damage.
