  • very disrespectful, jerico does not or ever will deserve a spot in the hall of fame. Steamboat showed he still has plenty of gas in the tank, and should have won the match.

  • @bikerdhill You do realize that was a storyline right? Jericho was playing the heel and calling out legends that were willing to come back to wrestle again.

  • @bikerdhill Oh also, Jericho has gone on record to list Steamboat as the reason he started wrestling.

  • Did anyone forget that Rouke was undefeated in 6 fights in his boxing career

  • Ricky steamboat is the man!

  • ricky steamboat made this match (at this time) with 55, BRILLIANT!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The second match should be won by Steamboat... really...

  • RODDY PIPER LOOKS LIKE THE SAME IN 1987

  • Jericho!

  • i love how jericho just walks down lol

  • piper was awesome:)snuka was still adorable:)and staemboat is still hott to be 56:)

  • This will go down in history as the day The Dragon stole the show and upstaged, at age 56 and with 16 years out of the ring, everyone else on the card at Wrestlemania 25.

  • @nextmovebestmove Well he looked god but he sure as hell didn't upstage Shawn Michaels or The Undertaker that evening.

  • @nextmovebestmove How could you forget HBK and Undertaker, the 2nd greatest match in WWE history right after Steamboat and Savage?

  • I remember watching this live and feeling bad for Snuka. I LOVE Piper, but he's long past it. Then Steamboat entered the ring. "HOLY SHIT!" was the first thing that came to mind.

  • Steamboat should have won this. Huge momentum killed once again by WWE.

  • @pab75 What purpose would it serve for Steamboat to win?

  • @TheChaserofSouls Respect

  • @Romchikthelemon Respect? Dude, he was shown respect just for being in the match. The match only happened to put Jericho over. If Steamboat had won it would have done nothing for either of them.

  • @TheChaserofSouls Are you Vince McMahon ? =)

  • @Romchikthelemon No, why?

  • @Romchikthelemon hes got a point... if jericho loses he can't beat an old person past his prime.. it ruins jericho as a main event talent... if steamboat wins yeah he gets credit but since hes not wrestling it does nothing but put over a guy who already is a legend. Look steamboat just cemented his legendary status in this match by doing as well as he did... Jericho furthered himself as a hell with this.. it worked out as it should have

  • @xarachnid ahh, bulshit. Hogan beat Orton as Legend Killer at Summerslam 2006, so what ?

  • @Romchikthelemon Wanna know why? Because he's HULK HOGAN.

  • @TheChaserofSouls anyway, Ricky could be winner just as Jericho. There wasn't any tragedy

  • @Romchikthelemon Steamboat didn't need it. Point blank.

  • @TheChaserofSouls

true lol. hulk hogan wont lose to anyone.

  • @Romchikthelemon Big difference between Hogan and Steamboat Hogan hadn't retired from wrestling... He was still an active wrestler at the time so that was different than getting these guys who all had retired.. I mean up until this point the last match steamboat wrestled was 1994... thats a little bit of a gap where lots of the audience might not even have been alive

  • @pab75

Er, why? He was 56. It's not like he's going to be out on the roster wrestling every week, like Jericho was going to be after that night.

  • Reminds me of Ortons Legend Killer stuff.

  • The best part of this is seeing Frank Shamrock sitting next to Mickey Rourke when Jericho calls him out. You might as well call out Sylvester Stallone while he's sitting next to Bas Rutten.

  • roddy piper look's like the same but in 1987

  • Chris Jericho is a hall of famer..... Flair doesn't know what hes talking about.

  • GO HALL OF FAMERS

  • this was a great concept of a match, it makes y2j so much better

  • Unbelievable performance by Steamboat. At his age, with so many years of forced retirement from his injury, he still looked absolutely amazing. He still managed to put some of the WWE roster to shame with this match.

  • that makes 4-0 jericho

  • @RavenIkaru You mean his WM record?

  • @TheChaserofSouls : Can't be that. Jericho lost to Triple H at WMX8. On another note, as epic and legendary as HBK/Taker was, I think Steamboat's performance stole the show. Much like at Wrestlemania III. It must have been overwhelming for Jericho to be there making another classic Wrestlemania moment with the guy whom with his match with Savage was the reason why he got into the business.

  • Wow...unbelievable performance by steamboat

  • i hope Ric Flair is wrong at 1:05... Y2J = Future Hall of Famer...Steamboat now = better then all the mid carders in WWE today

  • this should be the main event !

  • chris jericho should be the legend killer, not orton

  • @remcool1 Orton isn't the Legend Killer anymore.

  • Steamboat was AWESOME in this match.

  • @Lordani66 - That should tell you how good he was back in the day. Today - he can still wrestle better than many of the new young wrestlers in the WWE! And that's NOT a joke!

  • @TheChaserofSouls Made A Mistake Commented On The Wrong Video

  • my dad is jimmy snuka

  • Ricky Steamboat is easily one of the greatest workers of all time. Legend!

  • This was the best wrestlemania of the 2000s

  • @TheWWEHits Not exactly.

  • @TheChaserofSouls True I mean theyre were great matches.......but i can see some other wrestlemanias featuring Attitude Era Superstars.......Wrestlemania 19 and 20 were exellent.

  • @TheWWEHits WrestleMania X-Seven (2001) was probably the best of all tine.

  • @TheChaserofSouls True.......

  • @TheChaserofSouls wrestlemania 8 would disagree

  • @KingHotdog Nahh

  • @TheWWEHits 17, 19, 20 and even 21 were all better in my opinion.

  • Regardless of what he couldn't do because of his age, Steamboat was still better than most of today's roster.

  • Why is Ricky Steamboat retired? LOL

  • Steamboat's still pretty good, although he's showing signs of fatigue as the match progresses.

  • Jesus Christ, Steamboat was doing great stuff for his age!

  • Ahh... Those Canadians & Their Oversells @13:07

  • @SheltonBenjamin123 How exactly is that an oversell?

  • This just goes to show you that 25 years ago Steamboat would have DESTROYED Jericho.

  • Damn ricky steam boat was fuckn awesome

  • @eyepatchinc You won what? You didn't do anything.

  • For the boys that loved this when it exploded.

One more time. Flair and Steamboat.

Make an awesome build up write the entire match.

Back and forth blood and build.

  • Wow...Piper and Snuka look HORRIBLE!! Steamboat looked good< but wow...joints are the worst opponent.

  • @big9nic LOL.

  • @big9nic Wrestlers really don't age well do they.

  • Ric Flair-No kiss for you Roddy

  • Dislocated hips and nap time really affected their progress.

  • Steamboat is the only one who still wrestles. The other two are growling and moving in slow motion.

  • @big9nic I wouldn't say that piper looked horrible, just Snuka.

  • @LiveWire134679 Not from a wrestling perspective, but he is overweight and soft. That is the worst I have seen him, but he is old. I have always been a Piper fan, but I would have prefered to remember them as they were versus "one last hoorah".

  • At 13:06 Chris Jericho missed the ropes to break the impact of his fall

  • @eyepatchinc And I stand by mine...big deal.

  • @TheChaserofSouls lol i win

  • they still got it

  • @rkorvdslam Only Steamboat.

  • Comment removed

  • @TheChaserofSouls who is that last guy that koed y2j

  • @NoobOwnerX Mickey Rourke.

  • hope hbk would not be like that ......a level-up item.......

  • I wanted Steamboat to win that one so bad... he still has it after all these years.. I was going nuts when I watched it live.. ask the ex.. LOL

  • @AndrewC437 i was soooo impressed with steamboat here. he didn't look the same, but he moves like he never lost a step. i know most people would disagree, but he shoulda won this. it wouldn't have hurt jericho's career one bit to lose to a legend like steamboat. for God's sake, jericho lost to heath slater on NXT..... ridiculous.

  • @eyepatchinc This match was made to put Jericho over though. He deserved the win. And when you think about it, Jericho has traits from all 3 of them.

  • @TheChaserofSouls i stand by my opinion.

  • @eyepatchinc I believe a friend of mine when he said that Steamboat, after leaving the WWF (in the day) didn't keep at the hard wrestling stuff, which makes sense on why he can still do all that stuff.. He wouldn't have beat up his body like Piper did in other federations.. Just a thought..

  • @AndrewC437 i also heard he was a trainer for new talent. i could look it up, but i'm tired lol

  • this feud was really good, because everyone knows Jericho loves all of them alot.

  • @nwojunkie TRUTH

    steamboat still has it EASILY

  • 1 LEGENDARY STAR VS 3 LEGENDS.

  • Jesus, Jericho is in a world of his own when he wrestles, when he talks, everything!

  • GREAT MATCH

  • Frank Shamrock @ 06:00

  • Y2J is the fucking man.

  • Jericho picking on old people how pathetic!

  • they could beat the freak out of him

  • jericho looks shite nowadays, he's lost loads of size what a waster he is!

  • @rainxxxx Well, when your age and injuries catch up to you, things happen.

  • @TheChaserofSouls yeah but he's not exactly past it for a wrestler is he, look at triple h, he gets bigger and more cut as he gets older

  • @rainxxxx You see him at Night of Champions? He looked horrible. I wouldn't call the last 3 years cut. Look at some stuff of his in 2000 and thats what you call cut.

  • @TheChaserofSouls i think jericho has just got lazy with his training, takes a while before you lose muscle mass due to age

  • @rainxxxx Yeah but Jerichos not pumped to his eyeballs with HGH

  • @zoso7889 thats what you think, you will be surprised at what wrestlers are on, their physical appearance is not a good indication, lots of people are well into their 50's with great muscle mass

  • @rainxxxx Yeah but not twice the size at 42 as they were at 30. One of the only guys to keep a video game physique after the drug testing became stringent after Eddies death. Or maybe im just too cynical and he actually defies aging unlike other mere mortals

  • @zoso7889 42 is not old in bodybuilding, obviously everything starts slowing down but ive seen people that take loads of gear and still look like shit, jericho is younger than trip h

  • "oooooooo"... wheres the W ??? lol @ 5:40

  • IDK if the Rourke thing was just a quick publicity stunt by Jericho, but I bet he didn't know Mickie Rourke was actually a trained boxer that was trained by the man who trains the current #1 P4P fighter in the world... Lol

(years ago, but I can see he still knows how to throw a jab

  • No surprise the underrated Steamboat is the baddest mu'fucka on that team

  • Jericho owns legends

  • just the drumroll gets piper a massive pop before we ever see him... a most deserved massive pop.

  • You've still got it *clap clap, clap clap clap*

  • Jericho Vs Steamboat BadAss

  • Lillian looks hot in that dress.

  • Where's the RAM JAM?!?!

  • is that frank shamrock next to rourke?

  • @abramj18 yep, that's him

  • I thought Randy Orton was the legend killer so they went that route with Jericho to? oook why would they give two wresters the same type of storyline wwe is running out of original shit

  • @DW1014 With Randy Orton, it was more of a way to put him over as a main eventer. He couldn't be the Legend Killer forever. And as for Jericho, it was just something for him to do at WrestleMania. This was the last we heard of him vs. any legend.

  • @TheChaserofSouls Didn't he have a few matches with Steamboat after this?

  • @Moredread25 Well, actually yes. Forgot about that one. Most likely for younger members of his family to see him wrestling maybe, IDK.

  • @Moredread25 Ys, backlash 09 as well as the tour in japan

  • @DW1014 Chris jericho > Randy orton

  • this should have just been jericho vs steamboat, thumbs up if you agree especially with this awesome crowd. thats houston for ya.

  • ric flair was bleeding on raw?

  • @1nTe4Vn7i0n ric flair bleeds every match hes in ?

  • @bakonman12 lol I know but it was PG then so kinda shocking lol

  • Steamboat was a freakin beast. Insane.

  • Chris Jericho >>> ALL

  • jericho flair snuka piper steamboat jerry jr all legends mick rourke who?

  • i don't think so flair. jericho's a bonafide hall-of-famer

  • @SandBathroom Jericho can work. He is a future hall of famer. He sold this extremely well, and even tweeted about how awesome it was to work with snuka, steamboat, rourke, piper, and flair. I even saw ricky steamboat and jericho at a house show days after ricky was attacked by chris on raw. Both were very nice; jericho wrestled, ricky and finlay were the agents for the show...

  • Actually there were 6 legends, including Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler

  • @nickochet99 Bullcrap.

  • @nickochet99 you suck, blow, AND SWALLOW

  • Unfortunately Ricky Steamboat was very severely injured last year, and I doubt he'll wrestle again (he is 58 after all), but he never lost it until then. Form is temporary. Class is permanent, and that's what Ricky had. To spend 15 years out of the ring and perform like that? Class.

  • @Rulinator ricky suffered a burst capillary at the hands of one of the nexus members. otunga or sheffield, with the spinebuster and lariat respectively, it was one of those or another move that ricky hit the back of his head when he took the bump. days later he had a capillary burst in his brain and was told he should avoid taking bumps to the back of the head, or it can result in injury with more permanent type damage.

  • @Rulinator Couldn't have said it better myself.

  • took 4 hall of famers and a bad actor to take down jericho nice

  • @ChrisFan11

Well, It was great to see STeamboat have his first match in 15 years and still show he's really a true great.

  • @Rulinator I would actually like to see 1 on 1 jericho steam boat cuz pipper and snuka didnt give that show as they did in the old days they just gave memories

  • @ChrisFan11

im pre' sure they went 1 on 1 at Backlash following month. or so i remember.
