No, it drops several times to get to the bottom rather than dropping all the way down to the bottom, each ride is individually preset so you never know how many times your going to drop.

Honestly the up and down part is not scary, just thrilling, but the beggining of it is freaky and they try and get you all scared while you're in line. And you're in line for a while..

See the sign for the ride at the start of the video is just one of my favourite things about going on holiday from Britain to Florida, all the brilliant signs for rides. Some of them are animated and are just brilliant! There even used to be one down International Drive, don't know what it was sponsering, but there was a big ET face! haha

I went on this in florida in the season it first opened (summer 2004)... I haven't been in a lift since XD Also, the same day we went on it some woman came off and had a heart attack :P

You know, there is a special seat on tower of terror in CA. if you are sitting on the front left row, look at the floor. You can see the entire elevator shaft below you.

i went on this 2 days ago in disney land and in the picture it looked like i was crying i was so terrified.

this was one of the two rides i was scared of the other one was the feris wheel

the last time i went on the elevator went all the way to the bottom where you see the tv, and all of a sudden it shot up !!! It was awesomee and very unexpected ... thats why i love that ride, the drops are never the same :) !
