May 9th 2010 I was 15 and I had found out I was pregnant and then 6 months later I was having sharp pains and I had learned I had preaclampcia and my daughter was born and sadly she did not make it through everything she only lived 2 weeks and then passed away but I relise that god decided I was not ready to be a mom so he is giving her a better life.

i just turned 28 weeks on thursday. i think you should def have the baby shower before shes born, you need everything before shes born. im having mine june 27th.. im due august 5th. also im using the exact same lotion as you! it works best if you also put baby oil on your belly as soon as you get out of the shower when your still a bit wet. good luck on your babygirl. im having a baby girl to :)
The whole point of a baby shower is to have things for when she's born that you dont have to buy. Like diapers and stuff. I would definitely not want a shower after she was born, you should just tell your friends that (:

Yes, baby showers come before the baby... and make sure that they don't buy you only newborn clothing because she will grow QUICK! Just make a list of what you will be needing and make sure by asking them to let you know what they plan on buying.

I know how you feel about the baby shower, with my first daughter I had one before she was born, and I didn't get a baby shower until after my second daughter was born. I prefer doing it before the baby comes, then atleast you know exactly what you have left to purchase. It just feels to last minute for me, I like to be prepared before the baby comes.

The people on there are terrible and say what ever they want to her weather sexually, harrassing, just plain ignorant! I'm sure you will see some nasty stuff on there about you...and not all girls can brush off the negative comments. Just a piece of advice for you!

if you cant paint you should just get a lot of decorations for her room they make those cute little tings you can just stick to the wall and peel off at a later date and cute curtains, only if you cant paint :) if you do go for a lighter color so when you decide to move its easier to paint over. :) your getting so big and your going to be a good mom

I would really try right now to graduate and do better in school. You really do want your high school diploma. That's really important. So focus on that for right now and then worry about moving out. That's my advice on that. Also, I wouldn't want the baby shower after you have the baby either. You will probably be tired and you should have all the baby stuff before she comes. So, you're right there. Have it before she comes. And try to do better in Biology! :) You'll be glad you did.

You should def have it before...if you have it before you'll be more prepared... why don't you have a meet the baby party after where people can come and meet her one day and can bring diapers or a book or something for her.. you know just a small party maybe a BBQ at your new place.. just an ideal.. but baby showers are tradiontional held before birth so we can make sure we have everything

Starting off small is never a bad thing. My partner and I started in a tiny 1 bedroom place in a crappy part of town. We have now managed to move into a house that we both adore and we are so much more apprecitave of it simply becuase we did have that hard start. You will do fine, and will be a great mum!!

Not right away of course, just if you two find yourselves needing a bit of extra cash sometime down the road:). Anywho, something to think about. And your better off waiting til Jayda's a few months before getting a kitten. Babys take up soo much of your time at the beginning but around a fw months things start getting easier & u can pay some attention to both the kitten & bubby =)

@amannndaa Lots of people have baby showers after the baby is born. Some people want the baby to be at the shower or whatever. Its not that unheard of.

dont get a cat while your still preggers as you cant touch the kitty litter, their pee is very dangerous to pregnant woman....biggest expense for a cat is the vet bills, so if ya cant afford to send it to the vet for all its first year vaccinations etc then id suggest waiting...they are super cool though!! (im a vet nurse :-)
@edaj84 yeah the bacteria also in their dried urine is also dangerous, thats also why they suggest to buy new cot matresses as well coz of old baby urine and mould spores etc
its really nice to have the stuff before she is born because sometimes u can save ur money when u recieve some of the stuff u would have gone out and bought before she got here!
Happy Mother's Day! And you should DEFINITELY have the baby shower before the baby comes-it will be SO MUCH easier! And about the glucose test-don't worry about it at all. Usually the drink is orange-flavored. Of course it's not the best drink in the world, but it just tastes like a really sweet melted orange popsicle-that's all. They will give you a small bottle of the drink and let you take your time drinking it. Just gulp it down-it's not that bad. Don't worry! =)

Congrats on the apartment!!! but im just saying, you shouldnt get a cat until you know that jaydah isnt allergic! cuz that would be really hard like getting a kitten and finding out your daughter is allergic and than have to get rid of the cat! :( OH and btw... I FEEL YAH FOR THE GRADES THING!!! If I dont pass one of my classes I wont graduate! and im doing great in my bio class!

You should def have it before...if you have it before you'll be more prepared... why don't you have a meet the baby party after where people can come and meet her one day and can bring diapers or a book or something for her.. you know just a small party maybe a BBQ at your new place.. just an ideal.. but baby showers are tradiontional held before birth so we can make sure we have everything

Also - to see messages at the moment (I am having that issue too... it sucks!) If you open the message and then click on your toolbar up the top right hand side of the screen (where it says your username adn where you check subscriptions, mail ect) you will be able to read the message. You just won't be able to reply to it.

Starting off small is never a bad thing. My partner and I started in a tiny 1 bedroom place in a crappy part of town. We have now managed to move into a house that we both adore and we are so much more apprecitave of it simply becuase we did have that hard start. You will do fine, and will be a great mum!!

Hey Emily, just was thinking about your big news (yay!!) and wanted to share a tip about making extra cash. Maybe you could consider becoming a doula or midwife? Not right away of course, just if you two find yourselves needing a bit of extra cash sometime down the road:). Anywho, something to think about. You'll already know so much and might want to help other young mommys. All the best :D Congrats on all the exciting news!!

Aw thats great news you guys got a place! See things always turn around at the right time. And its a good starting point like you say, once you have that behind you, you guys will find it easier to get a bigger and better place!
And your better off waiting til Jayda's a few months before getting a kitten. Babys take up soo much of your time at the beginning but around a fw months things start getting easier & u can pay some attention to both the kitten & bubby =)

I've never heard of anyone having a baby shower after the baby is born, that's kind of weird! And don't worry about the glucose drink, it's really not that bad! :)

@amannndaa Lots of people have baby showers after the baby is born. Some people want the baby to be at the shower or whatever. Its not that unheard of.

hey hon! I totally understand you wanting to get a kitten- how adroable right? just keep in mind that because you are pregnant you cannot change the cat's litter box- its really important you mention to your doctor that you are getting a cat... good luck and enjoy!

dont get a cat while your still preggers as you cant touch the kitty litter, their pee is very dangerous to pregnant woman....biggest expense for a cat is the vet bills, so if ya cant afford to send it to the vet for all its first year vaccinations etc then id suggest waiting...they are super cool though!! (im a vet nurse :-)

Happy Mother's Day! And you should DEFINITELY have the baby shower before the baby comes-it will be SO MUCH easier! And about the glucose test-don't worry about it at all. Usually the drink is orange-flavored. Of course it's not the best drink in the world, but it just tastes like a really sweet melted orange popsicle-that's all. They will give you a small bottle of the drink and let you take your time drinking it. Just gulp it down-it's not that bad. Don't worry! =)
