The Law of Opposites is basically duality. Everything has an opposite. Dark-light, poor-rich. I know the law of opposites. In Jan 2009 I intentioned into my existence the notion of a lot more money. No sooner had I made that bold declaration than I experienced the exact opposite. It was the worst financial year of my life, bills, unexpected, medical, dental, major car expenses you name it. I couldn't believe it. The following year things changed for the better. Be careful what you wish for!
@B7Scorpio i hear what you're saying. it doesn't really matter either way, but for every up is a down. what is now is. if you find that mundane then you're fullfilling your point.
precisely. difference focus makes it (one's reality) easier to understand. it is the job of the ego to make comprehension possible no matter the level of truthful content a rationalization holds. hence why the ego has so much to do with our delusion of difference, perpetuation of cultural, blood lines, even self marginalization made rational by assumptions involved with interpretations of reality, ect...
If everything is a hologram of the entire cosmos, if you cannot touch a flower without a distant shudder from a cosmic star, then we can say anything we want and propose any theory.
Everything will work out. It has already. It is NOW.
I think the point was not that right and wrong are the same, but once was... we made right and wrong ourselves by a division using the middle term or uniting term (opinion.) And science can split everything down in a negative or curious or doubtful eye and place its own belief and found facts into your mind. You can choose not to and equally to believe in things you cannot see with belief that purely negative things don't even exist without the positive. This is fact of our own science.
i did mushrooms last night. it was the most beutiful experience. we were all having shared hallucinations. wed all notice it took us an hour to cross a parking lot. we went for a walk in the woods and it was the most beautiful thing ive ever seen. the plants glowed. and i could not tell the seperation of plants. it was like the forest was a covered in a glowing spiderweb. and it felt made. like built there like that for me to see it like that. weird. and beutiful. i wished things glowed normally
"The price which we pay for specialization in conscious attention.. is ignorance.. of everything outside [this field of concentration.].. Everything exists with everything else." Let us expand now the focus of our attention so as to include also that our peripheral vision.
There is truth in this video. With this understanding we can better understand our reality. We should not; however, ignore the fact that there is a "darkness" that needs to be addressed. This "darkness" is indeed part of a greater "one" but is having a negative impact that really should not be ignored. It is our duty to make "the one" beautiful.
im not him, but would say...the opposite of what we like, of what we think of as good. we think of life as love and the living, but things can be horrible, bad, and dead. but thats part of the greater whole. its just a part of everything, like your arm is a part of you. its not the opposite of you.
The human spirit can be viewed as a single thing. Within that one there are individuals. The darkness I refer to is the part of the human spirit that is capable of extreme greed and hungers for power. This part of the human spirit has been doing things that are impacting the whole. This is somewhat unnatural. This darkness has gone "out of bounds". It is now up to us, as part of the whole human spirit to stand up and do something about this.
It goes to show that our perception of everything is really only a comparative contrast to everything else. To examine one singular thing without any knowledge of the rest of our world, it would be impossible to describe.
this helps answer a question....first time alan watts has moved out of my peripheral vision & closer to center stage, good 'hearing' him for the first time...gratitude (o:

When we think, we differentiate hiding wholeness/unity in plain sight.
When we forget that we are the world,
we think we need someone like us to make us and a world that fit together.

According to this theory there is no difference between right and wrong or good and evil- its all the same thing. This goes against my logic.
