My dog has cherry eye and he is a Mutt, he is 10 years old and i think that this might work. does it work for all dogs or little puppies. please reply I dont want to pay 100s of dollars.
This really works my cat just scratched my dogs eye about 20 mins ago and it worked my dogs a englishbull dog 4 months old thank you so much for this video
In my opinion its diet related, learn to cook your own food that is suitable for your breed of dog they all have different needs to keep ligaments and connective tissue strong.
Wow thank you soooooooo much!!!!!!!! I just took my dog to a charlatan vet wanting to charge me $900. its such hard financial times it was huge relief when my doggy sarahs' cherry eye popped straight back in!!!!happy to have saved her from a traumatic experience.
I did this after i took my dog to the vet, It worked perfectly!, it came back a couple of times, But i will keep doing this until it doesnt come back! the cherry wasnt all the way out, so i dont know if it will work when the cherry is all the way out...good luck guys, my doggie and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts. i was so sad thinking that he would be like this for ever.
Thank you so much! We have a Cocker Pei ( cocker spaniel and shar pei designer mix breed) puppy and his cherry eye was very large but with 10 minutes of light pressure massaging, his tear duct finally went back in. We will keep an eye on him but so far he's back to normal. Thank you again, possibly saved us from a $2000 surgery!
THANK YOU SO MUCH THANK YOU SO MUCH THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!! AT FIRST I COULDNT DO IT AND MY FAMILY GAVE UP THEN I SWITCHED HANDS ON FIXING IT THEN IT WORKED LIKE A CHARM!!!!!!!!!! IM SO HAPPY!!!!!I WATCHED A COUPLE OF VIDEOS AND THIS WAS ONE OF THEM THAT HELPED A LOT!!!! LOTS OF $ HAS BEEN SAVED!!! <3~MY FAMILY AND ME
Oreo got cherry eye on his left eye and i think it's about to pop out on the right eye as well. Im guessing it started this morning, and saw it when i got home this afternoon. I tried rubbing it in just after i saw your video this evening but couldn't really do it properly since Oreo won't let me. I tried it again when he was sleepy, but i think his cherry eye is big enough to pop back in. I'll try it again tomorrow later. Suggestions for me? I would really appreciate it.
can someone please explain this to me with clear directions. I dont understand the vid i closed my dogs lid and did a massage toward he snout but nothing changed and i think im rolling her eye out of place...please help
I don't think my dog has cherry eye, he's eye looks like it has gone a little bit inside instead or popping out, the bottom of his eyelid is kind of hanging down and I can see pink flesh all around the bottom half of his eye, what do I do?? And what is this called, please help ASAP, he is a 6 month old golden retriever
I wish I would of found this video when my dog just got it.. He was about 5 months, he is now 1yo cocker spaniel and I think his eye is getting worse :(
Thank you sooo much! I have a beagle/shih tzu that I noticed one day after he woke up that he had a cherry eye and I was dreading the possibility of surgery. We don't have the money for that at all. So we tried this, but we put an eye drop in first than iced his eye for about a minute. The ice reduced the swelling tremendously in the gland then we rubbed it for about a minute and it was gone. AMAZING! Thanks again for the video!
I just got a puppy last night and she has cherry eye and i just tried this with her and it worked wonderful. i am going to keep an eye on her with it thank you very much
Thanks so much! It works. I have a cocker spaniel who developed a cherry eye this morning. I rush to the vet and was given an ointment. She said that the likely hood of it to work was low and probably needed surgery to correct it. After researching this online i quickly found your video. I apply your method and to my amazement it work. Thanks! I was afraid that my dog would have to live like this for the rest of his life and now I can sleep well tonight.
It was very helpful to see an actual dog to have it and for someone to actually "massage" it away. At 1st, it did not seem to work, we massaged it for 5 minutes and it was still there. Did not want to keep messing with it so we waited to later that evening to try again. Sure enough after some lubricant drops and more massaging, it went away. Thanks for the video, very helpful!
I have a 4 month old Chihuahua that got Cherry Eye. At first I didn't know what it was. I thought maybe she got scratched in the eye by my other dog, a dachshund. But after doing a search on the internet, found out it was cherry eye. Did a lot of researching and most sites said it that it was only corrected by surgery. After digging a little deeper, and my wife told me about home remedy of massaging, I went to the old trusty Youtube and found this video.
hi,my bulldog puppy had cherry eye i noticed it thismorning, it must have only just popped out she has had reddish tearstains for a few weeks i followed your instructions and got it back in no problem thanks very much,i am going to take her to the vets anyway i think she might have some kind of infection, what do you think?
thanks so much for your video my 2 dogs was with cherry eye , and i was doing just the way u did and just like magic the eyess was back to normal iam so happy ,i love my dogs so much i really apreciate your help thanks million.......................................
Thx for the great video, this worked for my 1/2 Pug 1/4 Dachshund 1/4 Jack russell in under a minute. I'm a licensed Veterinary Technician and have never tried this so I'm impressed. I plan on using this massage with future clients and will now do this routinely twice a day with my own pup. Thank you again.
i took my beagle for a long walk yesterday since it was nice out, first walk since September. After we got home I noticed she had cherry eye in one eye, I thought she might have poked herself in the eye when I took her into a forest preserve. Would popping it back in really work? Or is it a temporary solution?
funny, my english bulldog has this on both of his eyes, and i seen another youtube on this, but It didn't work for him, i'll try this again, because he is due for surgery on the 30th this month and the vet sure does charge an arm and a leg. thanks for posting
I wish I found this video a long time ago when my puppy developed it. He's 2 yrs now and his cherry eye got really big so he just had surgery yesterday to tuck it back in.
I tried your method on my maltese. I had to do it a few times for it to pop in. I also put some canine antibiotic eye drops. The cherry eye came back a couple weeks later and I followed your method again and added eye drops. It has been several months and my dogs eye is fine now. Thank you for the video!!
Cool, yes cherry eye is an injury so latest research suggests. So massage back in place and apply some eye gel for a couple of days.Surgery should only be used after trying this method you might have to do it for a week or two.(injuries need time to heal).
This works I was so worried but after using antibiotic ointment and using your massage techniques my dogs cherry eye went away! Thank you so much it just takes some time and patience!
Thank you so much for putting this video up my dog is just as little and almost the same breed as the one in your video and he has had his cherry eye come out before but when he went to sleep it fixed on his own but this time it wouldn't go away I got ointment and was getting very worried I was going to have to take him into the vet to get surgery :( but when I saw your video I started massaging like you show us to do and it went away today after his massage :) I'm so happy he is my little hear

My dog has had cherry eye for about a year now and has never gotten an infection from it.
Reddish tearstains will be normal, but definitely get your puppy checked at the vet.
I know you weren't asking me, but I just thought I'd let you know, maybe it could ease your mind a bit.

@ALEXNHELEN0704 It is good to massage the spot even after it pops back in a few times a day for a few days. If there is cartilage damage the cherry eye may keep slipping out or possible for other reasons. This method is worth a try for some dogs. The dog in the video had no relapses - its been a few months now. Surgury may be the only option for some dogs.
