@D3cyTH3r In a way I did. I showed you the basic settings I used to make the mountain. Results will vary though as the seed in Vue in different every time you open the program. I explain the settings, which should give you an understanding on how to make the mountain. If you want I can make a video of how to make the mountain, but it will be the same thing as this video. :) If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to continue posting.
Also, in addition to the PM, Do you know where to find the "Zero edges" toggle option that used to be among the left-hand buttons in the terrain editor?
@roby924 The zero edges button is still there on the left side. It looks like a mountain being trimmed down. If you hover over the buttons, after a second or so there will be a short description of what it is. I believe it is like the 3rd or 4th button on the left. I don't have my computer setup at the moment to double check. But it is still there.
Hey There, for some reason in the function editor, the terrain looks perfect in the "function observer" window, where the camera button is, but for some reason my terrain looks completely off, and even have a huge hole in the center. any ideas?
Where can I find the Rocky Mountain Fractal? I have Vue 9 Pioneer, Vue 9.5 Infinite and Vue 10 Infinite and don´t know how to load this or make this... Because you start with a Mountain, but I can´t see from where it is...
@OskilorProductions HEY! Sorry for the late reply. You can find the rocky mountain fractal by opening the procedural tab when you load up a procedural terrain. After you do that, in the fractal node, when you click on it, there is a drop down list, usually Vue will have a simple fractal by default. Click on that drop down list and it will be located about half down the list. It will just say "Rocky Mountains" on it. There is also another option which is "Eroded Rocky Mountains". Hope that helps
@minoritychild First, thank you for your answer, but, i don't know exactly what you mean: When I click on the button for loading a procedural/infinite terrain, there comes a window with two tabs: Infinite Terrains , and secondly: Procedural Terrains. But there isn't any Rocky Mountain Fractal or something like this... It would be very nice if you make a short tutorial about this :)
@JacobSheppard It's probably because your Gain is too high. Try taking the gain down. If you don't have enough detail after doing that, if you kept the multiplication node, try lowering that to a lower number... like 5 or 10.
If you deleted the multiplication node, then just re-add it and then set the lower number.
Sometimes adding a blender node and using a simple fractal or perlin fractal can help as well with the "hole" issue and as well as give more detail.
Hey there! Great video mate, not only helpful but inspirational...i have a question though...whats the process to loading the RockMountain features after you delete de vector and multiply by a constant nodes? when i delete them, my geometry goes completely smooth....am i doing something wrong?
@geekindustries Make sure you have the gain on the rocky mountain fractal set all the way to 10, or even past 10. You can set higher values by clicking on the number and then type in any number. OR, you can keep or add the multiply by a constant node and lower the value from the default to about 5 or 10. That should give you enough gain to see some detail. You may also want to make sure you have separate mountains unchecked, that may help as well. If you need more help, just ask! :)
Great tutorial, very helpful. I've just spent around 2 hours trying to create a nice mountain landscape before finding this, now its 20 times better and only took 30min to get how i wanted it. Hope you release more content soon, subscribed =)
@TheKumaDB Very Nice! I'm glad this video was of some help to you! If you would like a tutorial based on a specific fractal, or anything that may help improve your work flow, just message me or put it in the comments! :) Thanks for subscribing as well! I will return the favor. By the way, I noticed you have a PSN account, you can add me, artech7, I get on and play, but I work a lot now, so I don't as often, but mostly every weekend and when I have time.
you didn't show us how you made the mountain :@

@roby924 Good question. It could just be Open GL issues. Does it look normal when you do a final render?
Make sure you have the most up to date driver for your GPU and Open GL 3 or greater.
If you can, link me a picture of this issue so I can see what it is.
If you don't have any other issues or they are still happening message me ASAP. :)
