Your supposed to use this while in a BATH not shower!! keep your bar wet when you rub it in to the skin! The bar melts with the heat of the warm water so smoothly like a stick of butter on the skin. And please don't rate a product you don't even know how to use.

Since you don't like the almonds in it you should just stick to 'King of Skin' next time if you only want to moisturize. If you just want Exfoliation try Rub Rub Rub or a Sugar Scrub. Lush has TONS of exfoliaters.

I only use it on my bum, the backs of my arms and legs, and my feet. You do have to be a bit careful to not slip in the shower, but a dusting powder after will eliminate the 'greasy' feeling.

Aqua Mirabilis is my favorite of the exfoliating body butters, though. It's not greasy, but does make you feel soft (and in my opinion, it's not as harsh as Buffy), and it smells like a cookie!

I love the body butters, and agree that they can get too greasy afterwards. I recently bought a dusting powder that absorbs the excess oils so you feel moisturized AND not greasy. Maybe it will work for you too :)

maybe you don't have dry skin. it's different if you have dry skin, which i do, and this product was great for me. my skin is stinging when i get out of the shower because i NEED moisture, and this cancelled out that feeling, i didn't need to put lotion on after i got out of the shower

i personally love buffy :) I dont scrub hard, just enough to get it kinda melty, then instead of using the actual bar to rub/scrub it around, i use my hand to gently rub around the exfoliators. :)

here when u get in the shower if u have damaged hair wash your hair then when putting in the conditioner come it through and leave it in then use buffy and then wash the condition oyt fo your hair and then wash your body and it will get ride of the grease and make your hair healthy :) x

I personally love buffy. I use it for exfoliating my arms and legs, I only need to run it down my leg once then use what came onto my skin so it isn't too harsh. I'm also quite lazy when it comes to moisturising after the shower so this is perfect for me. It is a little greasy on the skin at first but in a few hours my skin really absorbs it and I get the smoothest baby soft skin. I can definitely she why some don't like it though.

what i am doing is putting the whole thing in the fridge and keep it there until i use it. that way its quite hard and not so much butter comes off.

a. it lasts longer

b. its not so oily

..the amount of oil is really up to you; since I have very dry skin mostly, I leave it a bit wet and get that "oily" feeling you don't like, but you can leave it a bit dry and crusty and only use enough oil to help it spread. I also add essential oils for a nice scent, wild sweet orange is my favourite, and it's one of the cheapest at $4.99, and you only use a few drops, so it lasts for batch after batch

Anyways, sorry to yammer on, but you might enjoy making your own

You might want to try making your own exfoliationismthingie... It's what I do (I have excema, so scented/perfumed things are a no-no, plus I like to keep it natural) and it only takes like $20 of products from Bulk Barn to make a TON of it (like, months and months worth!)

I use seal salt and epsom salts (epsom is great because you can also use it as a bath salt to relax your muscles) with olive or almond oil to moisturize (cont'd)

Buffy would be a little harsh if you have sensitive skin. It would be the least abrasive of the body butters but if you are finding it hurts you should switch to a creamier body exfoliater for sensitive skin. And if you dry yourself properly instead of patting dry you shouldnt be greasy just moisturised.

If you want a scrub that doesn't moisturize try Ocean Salts. I really like it.

I recommend myeyeshadowisodd try You Snap The Whip, a blackberry dark blue massage bar. Bit expensive, melts easy, smells fantastic, moisturizing and it's a pretty colour wet or dry.

It doesn't hurt if you barely touch your skin with it. Even if you go that lightly it still works and moisturized. And it helps if you rub yourself down with the towel. You feel clean after that. Try it again doing that and let me know how it goes. I used to use it like you are but fixed that.

Awww....I used to love Buffy! I like the scent and that it exfoliated. I have since graduated to body scrubs in jars that don't hurt as badly Buffy can be pretty damn scratchy and hurty--you're so right! Now that I've pretty much quit using Lush products and moved on to (what I think) are much better products, I can totally see all the faults with the products I used to love.
