  • You the man kipkay! Just hacked my crank flashlight to charge my iPhone4. Needed a few resistors for the data lines, but other than that works great!

  • iphone4! Don't miss this rare chance! QPYQdK accuc.info

  • @MrMinecraftfannr1 Hello!

  • My sister has the exact same phone- and i have the older version of the same phone- and my dad has the same version as me ( COOL AYY)

  • This is a great idea for when your at a all day tournament and need to charge your cell. Walking a half mile to the car just won't do.... Some of the comments below, Don't pay attention to.... Keep the videos coming... Love them and get a kick out of them... Thanks

  • Just a little note:

For the future, would you please not flash the light, RIGHT in my face?

    Ok, thank you.

  • use gear ratios to make it faster...

  • Yeah, but who here is honestly going to crank for 1 to 2 hours?

  • dinosoar phone!!!!

  • That is the same phone I have! (but that's because it comes with the awesomest game EVAR.)

P.S. The game is called bounce.

  • @luigi1fan1 Omg when I was a kid I'd play that game on my mom's phone!

  • @thatguy30000 *cyber-five!*

  • MAKE ONE FOR IPHONEEE

  • i love you

  • Ha

  • Everyone in the comments section seems to be retarded "Who would bring soldering equipment to a camp-fire" And " Yeah I'd love to crank that thing for hours" 1:You're supposed to do it before you go anywhere you must be retarded to not understand that and 2: how do you know that you have to crank it for hours he never said that nor did he crank it for ages when he charged his phone.

  • @Legenderydud Exactly. It's an EMERGENCY charger, i.e. the hurricane trashed the power system, we won't have power for days and I need my cellphone. And yes, a lot of cellphone towers have back up generators to keep operating during power outages. Before you hit that little "post" button, read what you typed. Sit back, have a drink, contemplate it. Then delete it because it was probably fucking stupid.

  • @Legenderydud there is a more efficient way of charging cellphones with little generators, besides, kipkay is just showing us an idea of how to charge a phone, he's not trying to sell you his idea. you're the retared one who takes all kipkay videos in a serious way, really? "world's loudest homemade air horn, worlds first usb toaster, aol goes disco, those videos are for entertainment purposes only, you're the retarded one. do they work? yes! are they efficient? no, because its for entertainment

  • There's only one problem. If you needed to do this, you wouldn't have enough juice to solder anything.

  • @alvagoldbook2 you can also strip the wires with your tooth and manually connect them to your phone

  • @ChiIdKiIIer That's cool, I'll just use my wire strippers. :)

  • you should patent this

  • i would have made it usb capable

  • yeah million cranks latter finaly chargerd

  • woah great emergency power just let me go get my soldering equipment...

  • love it

  • if you crank it hard it wil bring 11 volts

and then your phone battery wil die

  • hahha omg, dude you're kinda smart :D

  • @kaianuvis91 I'll make it and post a vid...

  • I found a way to top that sorry kipkay...

  • @truearwingace how???:O

  • But my phone has a 2 coloured screen :P

  • I have that phone... I love Space impact!

  • I have a different one

  • nice cell phone...

  • Thats a really old phone

  • @thekiman272

    Ahem...

    2008 Video.

  • OMG!!! a nokia! we are dead!!

  • @AllasMC

    Its an old palm phone

  • can this also be use as a 5v power supply?

  • Yeah, nothing like sitting there for ten hours trying to charge a mobile...

  • @randomrosso93 zombie Apocalypse thats all i gotta say

  • free energy???? is this troll physics?

  • @ethan8594 maybe

  • @ethan8594 It's not free energy. It's just using a really inefficient method of glucose-to-electricity conversion. I.e., glucose powers the man, the man cranks the generator, generates electricity. It's only "free" in that you don't have to pay an electric bill, but your arm gets way worn out. Way easier would be to just buy some cheap solar cells and a rechargeable battery.

  • @durge666

This is just or emergency purposes, like when your power goes out and you cellphone goes out. Of course, it is inefficient, but you're still pretty much screwed when the power outage goes out at night and all you have for backup are solar cells.

  • @ethan8594

This is not free energy, lol. You expend energy when turning the crank and the energy you expend is what charges the battery. Of course, it is inefficient, but it's better than nothing in emergency situations.

  • whos gunna have a soder gun at a campfire.....

  • @shaen55555

You dont really need to solder them, you can use some electrical tape..

  • @shaen55555 Him and a lot of other people that actually wanna use this.

  • I made one of these and after a few seconds it just stops charging. I have to turn the light off and back on again. Any ideas?

  • SO tech savvy, but you own a PDA still?

  • Wow Realy , i have a charger in my home , i am trying right now :) great video

  • Nokia=Finland!!!

  • Awesome

  • thats a brick not a cell phone

  • The 9gag army approves you Kipkay

  • Man, its too bad he dosent patent these ideas and put them in mass production.

  • could you hook this up to a battery charger, like for AAs and such? im going to have to try this.

  • @liverpoolkidchambers You can use a car battery.

  • @rajmas1 car battery is generating 12V,it will damage your phone

  • @marko03033 It was a reply to a comment, I meant to say that you should use a car battery for a TV

  • oh cool nice!

  • Why in the hell does this video automatically switch to another when it's done?????

  • @65734731 Because you're watching videos in a playlist and probably have autoplay turned on.

  • @xbreekate Just randomly watching videos, no playlist. If this is some kind of 'feature' it certainly doesn't give me any option to turn it off.

  • @65734731 well maybe you clicked on a video in a playlist without realising it 'cause underneath your original comment it says "3 hours ago in playlist Hacks & Mods"

  • @xbreekate Ok, well that might be the function that youtube has given playlists, and the 'how' it happened, but my original question of WHY still stands.

  • @65734731 your in a playliest lol

  • @nickcrash631 That it does it when I'm in a playlist and why it does it when I'm in a playlist are not the same thing.

  • don't you have a job? or something else to do?

  • @Mchillax like your SO much better...

  • @JBL1TZ nope, I never mentioned that.
