I get 25-40 FPS on my notebook-system:

Core2Duo 9500 @2.6 GHZ and ATI HD4650 1 GB

mainly 30 FPS also while driving!

Settings: VERY HIGH and HIGH.

GTA needs quad core cpu...

So if you play it on a dual core cpu make sure "view distance", "car intensity", "detail view" are put on "3-6".... these settings will get you the FPS the game looses on the bad CPU!

I tried it on my system and came to a conclusion "5" for the above settings.

I get constant 30FPS

see my others videos and you will see that i have alot better fps, becouse in these video i didnt have intelled any path, you have the same cpu but worse graphic card (you dont need more graphic card for this game)

yeah iven u got 9600gt 1gig you will play ta with no lag in high graphics and 4 gig ram no need strong gpu clock just a memory clock

The QX9300 in a laptop paired with a high end GPU will perform really well on high settings. The mobile i7 is too expensive for even a 2.0 Ghz to be worth while.

I get 30 fps most of the time, 35 fps in some areas and 39 fps a lot but it varies. A higher clocked CPU is always better for GTA IV, yes. There has been an update to my gaming laptop called the W860CU or G860 that has mobile i7 and a faster GPU. I would expect that to play GTA IV better due to the CPU and Turbo Boost.

No, most laptops will struggle with it unless you know what you need as specs. I play it on my laptop at 30-40 fps on high resolution and settings.

Well it runs better during the day in game than it does at night which is annoying but I make it work anyway.

It was an intel core 2 duo btw and my video memory is 256mb.

i dont want to upgrade my graphic card, actually is one of the best for a laptop, i have asked profesionals if i could change my graphic card , becouse maybe more later i want to have a better graphic card, and they told me that its imposible to change it in the mayority of the laptops, maybe in your laptop you can change it, but in a xps 1330 you cant put a good graphic card becouse it is very little, with your laptop you never could play gta 4 at a playable fps (20-25fps)

no lo siento no vas a poder jugarlo :/, yo para que no se caliente mucho uso un refrigerador de portatiles, o un usb cooler, se pone debajo del portatil, tiene 3 ventiladores, y te reduce bastante la temperatura de la gpu y cpu

no, es exactamente igual, la diferencia son los graficos, la xbox 360 esta a 1280x720 texturas medias calidad renderizado baja distancia de dibujado 20 distancia de detalle 10 densidad de coches 20 densidad de sombras 0, aparte de que la xbox tiene un filtro ke ace ke se vea mas borroso el juego, pero va entre 29-30fps
