I agree. They work on a standard charger spec that should work with all phones that support it. That way you can use your old charger and buy a new phone without one. And charge it anywhere else. Then we can use our monies on other things :) well best to buy something expensive and durable - less wasted resources that way. Not everyone on this planet can live like they do in USA!

Retrard, it has no 2.0mm Nokia connector, and USB charger is in package ... btw silly, charginf via USB will take 3HOURS @ +-0,5A current, unlike usual nokia charger with +-1A current, that charges phone 2 times faster. BTW nokia charger will be found in almost every normal family.

I don't know how in russia, but here in middle europe and other close places I were at had Nokia phones present... Doesn't matter if it was hi-tech ones or low end, I could charge my phone w/o problems. As I said before, USB charging is slow, and you also fuck your battery if you always start charging for 5 minutes many times per day for example if you synchronize often.

I really like this phone, but USB charging is one of cons for me.

Some WinMobile devices are able to disable PC charging. Is this phone able to? For example for people like me it'd be nice.

For example there'd be these options : When PC pluged in : Charge / don't charge / ask for action.

Exactly as it is made with USB communication mode already. You can set default or let phone ask each time.

I like this phone like, um, now! I loved the look of the E55 but the qwerty keyboard was meh so Nokia answered that problem with E52! I can totally see this phone dominate for many consumers like the 6200 once did!

e50 was completely crap. then, there was e51, which i've sold 3 month after buying - completely stupid when it deals wit' multimedia (veery bad camera, the pictures was greenish, and so low sound of music EVEN in good headphones!!!). i hope this 1 is better, however i don't need compass, extra e-mail features and gps..

Why did you buy an E serie if you needed a good camera and a multimedia player?

You have a bettere e-mail support (remember it's an E serie) and a decent gps. Now you even have a decent camera. It weights 98gr. and it's slim. It is a very good phone in my opinion, with Nokia quality even for software support and updates.

wow, this is light, slim, and still has pretty much everything in it.. thats very unlike nokia! BUT then again, it is an E series device, so the camera is useless and music can not be enjoyed, but still, great for business people :) just 'cos i'm curious.. i might get one :D
