@TUTUMAH not necessarily. theres more to football than just catch the ball and run with it. its a lot more in depth. u actually have to read the plays, watch the QBs eyes from 20-30 yards away, while watching the wideouts with ur peripheral vision. u have to know everything thats going on on the field even if u cant see it. all while the QB is doing just the same thing. hes watching the defense's movements, body language and formations. its harder than u think to switch from any sport to another

In fact after a time you will even be able to tell the difference between nations in terms of soccer style, eg. i can tell the diff between a Latin & a Brit (a Latin moves more fluidly while a Brit moves more "stiff" LOL, & im a brit BTW but it's generally true!)

Football or Soccer as you Americans like to call it is undisputedly the most popular sport in the world. You have your own sports which are very popular in America, but not so popular in the rest of the world. Just look at the World Cup being played in South Africa right now, 32 different nationalities and all can compete at a reasonable level with each other, and theres many more who aren't there who could also. This isn't the same for your sports as they aren't popular enough globally.
I think the yanks have misplaced arrogance and insularity regarding football (soccer), because at the end of the day it's the worlds most popular sport.
i also watched the superbowl out of curiosity, and even though i found american football intriguing i found it frustrating and slow paced due to the short breaks every 3-5 minutes or so. i think the yanks have to change that mentality if they want to really globalise the sport and change peoples perceptions about it.

not necessarily each sport takes different kinds of skills and athletic abilities.
with soccer you have to be fast and have very good foot skills along with knowing your position.
With football you need to be really strong and really fast and you've got to be able to do a lot.
i've read that david played rugby so he has some hands and this was back when reggie kinda sucked a lot. So neither sport is harder but in there own way have difficult parts.

TBH ur right, it was probably a bit unfair or me to sugesst it was an American thing, it's more like just the difference between a group of ppl who grow up playing soccer most of their life & a group of ppl who dont.
In fact after a time you will even be able to tell the difference between nations in terms of soccer style, eg. i can tell the diff between a Latin & a Brit (a Latin moves more fluidly while a Brit moves more "stiff" LOL, & im a brit BTW but it's generally true!)

@r00sh technically american football should be called american rugby because as you are obviously an avid fan of american football you know that the sport basically changed the rules of rugby.hence why i'm also kinda anoyed about the naming of AF hence why everyone outside of north america sees the naming of american football as ironic,alongside the fact that players don't predominantly use their foot or that the football isn't actually 1 foot long(11.25 inches according to official regulations)

Soccer players can't take a hit, but can run and run and run...Soccer has less full on sprinting than football... In Football you need Strength ,Power, Explosion, Vision, Agility, Speed.... Soccer you need Endurance, Balance, Speed, Agility, and Control( For the ball) The two sports are completely different, but at the same time are both Physically Demanding and Emotionally demanding... Who ever plays soccer i have my respects for you... and football .... if i ever play you no respect at all !=)

Football or Soccer as you Americans like to call it is undisputedly the most popular sport in the world. You have your own sports which are very popular in America, but not so popular in the rest of the world. Just look at the World Cup being played in South Africa right now, 32 different nationalities and all can compete at a reasonable level with each other, and theres many more who aren't there who could also. This isn't the same for your sports as they aren't popular enough globally.

I think the yanks have misplaced arrogance and insularity regarding football (soccer), because at the end of the day it's the worlds most popular sport.
i also watched the superbowl out of curiosity, and even though i found american football intriguing i found it frustrating and slow paced due to the short breaks every 3-5 minutes or so. i think the yanks have to change that mentality if they want to really globalise the sport and change peoples perceptions about it.

i don't get why americans think association football is a pussy sport, as it requires just as much athleticism, and statistically association football players are just as likely to get impact injuries from tackles ie broken bones, achilles problems and knee injuries, as well as the occassional broken nose and cut head from heads colliding when two players go for the same ball!!! :s

not necessarily each sport takes different kinds of skills and athletic abilities.
with soccer you have to be fast and have very good foot skills along with knowing your position.
With football you need to be really strong and really fast and you've got to be able to do a lot.
i've read that david played rugby so he has some hands and this was back when reggie kinda sucked a lot. So neither sport is harder but in there own way have difficult parts.
