I don't get what this has to do with being transgender. True equality would be you taking a stand against ALL violence, not just violence committed against people who are like you. 1. McDonalds employees are NOT hired for their martial arts skills and ability to stop violent incidents.

Ok, it's not DIRECTLY McDonald's fault that this incident took place, but a couple of things to consider:
1. McDonalds employees are NOT hired for their martial arts skills and ability to stop violent incidents.
2. Over recent decades, many/most national chains no longer routinely have security guards in their stores. Many places have vulnerable lone/low number workers carrying the store at night. As ever, it's all about the money.

I admire the older woman who did her best to stop what was occurring. It took courage. Although I have never been in that situation I would like to think I would
have the courage to do the right thing of a stranger needed my help regardless of who they are. I'm certain that woman didn't ask or think, what color or what was the sexual orientation of the person in need, just a fellow human being who needed help.
