OK, what if it was three sky divers with one flare each, then just before they split up they pop more flares with small parachutes then they pop their own chutes? Just saying. Some of the stuff in the old NASA Apollo footage is more interesting than this, to me anyway.

I have seen that before. One was a shooting star and the other times it was I think ball lightening? I tried to record what I saw this happened in June.

Interesting to see this and not surprised. I live in downtown KC --- didn't see this but I have seen a lot of "activity" in the sky-

Being in KC, we also recieved several phone calls as this was happening. It turned out that there was an air show the following day (in which a pilot was killed and they had to terminate the show) and these lights were the US Army Golden Nights performing a night parachute jump as a prelude to the show.

In case you haven't figured it out yet...it was The Golden Knights parachute team doing a night jump.

Looked like flares. Could have been skydivers like others said. Saw the lights going down, but not coming back up or doing the telltale 90 degree angle hard turns. Good catch regardless.

I saw alot of activity going on in pleasant hill last night, in a raul area, there has been lost of things goin on lately but last night it seemed be somehow noticinably moving and getting closer

I saw what you saw! I live right south of downtown and I saw this on the evening of August 19, 2011.  I have a great view of the downtown skyline. It at first looked like a large meteor coming down from space, with a long tail, effervescent. It then split in to 5 or 6 smaller balls of light. One twirled down like a feather would, two did curly qs, the others just sort of danced, then they moved and disappeared over the skyline. Have never seen anything like it. Please respond.
