When I was young, I think my brain would always send a different kind of signal whenever I saw a good looking guy; I just can't feel the same way towards a girl, even though I tried. But I was raised to believe that the term "gay" solely addressed flamboyant guys, so my perspective was heavily skewed, to the point that I was slightly homophobic (how ironic is that).
Reality hit me when I turned 15 and got Internet access.
I think your not telling the whole story as i knew at 8 when i saw my uncles pull his out when we were hunting to take a leek and I just wanted to go over and play with the damn thing, but you know your gay when you begin to masterbats and what your thinking about is boys. thats the tell all. I guarantee it if your honest with yourself and everyone else. thanks though your just a nice kid,

I mean, i wasn't into men that much before.. I actually tried to court girls back when I was in the 4th grade!!! haha. But maybe I would be classified as BISEXUAL rather than purely gay.. Because, till now I still wanted to have girlfriends and stuff.. Well, I actually felt that i WAS already gay because of my acts as a child.. and all that stuff... but yeah... whatever. haha

The question isn't when did you know when you were gay but when did you know you weren't straight. At age ten the boys were trying to kiss the girls and I knew I liked the guy who was kissing the most girls. I think it's not about knowing what you are but it's about knowing what you're not.
I think I thought it was a phase when I was in middle school, especially since I went to a small school and had never been exposed to anyone who was gay...so I didn't really even understand what it was. But then I noticed my feelings for a friend weren't going away, and it just clicked.
Great question! Hmmm...I have to say junior high, 7th grade, a boy in math class, about three rows behind me in the middle of the room, his name Jackson Hite. Beautiful blonde boy, blue eyes. First boy crush. Weird thing is we have reconnected and I actually met him for real over food, when I found out he lives right outside of salem. We went to school in california and I had moved away to Oregon. Come to know, that he actually attended the Univ. of Oregon. It was just weird how it all playedout

I was 13 I think and I was walking with a friend and we were talking about our feelings about porn (we had just discovered it). Of course that was straight porn we were talking about. And the things that he seemed to enjoy, even though I didn't tell him that at that time, I did not enjoy myself. That's the first thing that got me thinking I might be gay (and I am :P)

All I knew I was different and I wasn't interessted girls but in computers, but I didn't realise that my feeling for boys were more then just becoming best friends with them. I knew it for sure after watching quite a few coming out videos on YouTube 2 years ago.
I knew at 6 as well. We are learning about "love" for parents, teddy bears, Jack & Jill etc. and making new friends so that age seems appropriate. It happens to some straighty's as well as the love/gender indoctrination is only just beginning, we haven't learned our feelings make us bad people yet.

I believe it's a long and drawn out process. Lots of clues that lead up to the conclusion when you finally see the whole picture. It took me several years to realize.
