Nothing special about this couple. They lack good connection, it's all show. Her footwork is appalling. Maybe if she started wearing Latin shoes instead of Salsa ones she'd get there one day.

Salsa shoes usually have a thicker heel and more support around the ankle. They don't allow the foot to flex as much, which is not needed in salsa. When I said "latin" I was referring to the section of ballroom dancing that encompasses Samba, Cha Cha, Jive, Rhumba and Paso Doble. Shoes for that usually have more flexible soles, slimmer heels and thinner ankle straps, allowing the arch of the foot to curve, as it should for this type of dancing.

@DeutscheAkademikerin If you didn't know, they are Jukka and Sirpa, four timed-british open champions. This vid is made in late 90's, so dancesport has changed a lot since those days...=)

The song is by Marco Sales and is called Fest De Um Povo, or something very similar. It's from the album Pais Tropical - hope that helps.
