Thank you!!! No, no lessons. Just started out, singing along with my Al Jolson, and Frank Sinatra records when I was a kid. I guess you could say that they were my singing teachers. You couldn't ask for better ones!!! :)
You've clearly got talent. You should take a few lessons to hone your skill. My sister-in-law is a excellent singer (she's trying out for the Mormon Tabernacle choir) and she credits the lessons for pushing her past talent and into greatness.
I heard that Madonna didn't start singing lessons until after she was famous--so don't think I'm saying you aren't good. I just think you've got potential that you haven't even tapped into yet.
Thanks so much, and I agree, lessons can never hurt! In his later years, Sinatra himself took lessons from Robert Merrill, to keep his voice strong for the demands that were put upon it. You can never stop learning!!! :)

Hi, Adrian! Thank you! Glad I made you smile, too! About the audio/video thing, basically what I do is record the video using my cam's mic, keeping the music at a low volume, so that it is mainly my vocal recorded in the audio. Then, with a video editor, I separate the audio from the video, and I clean up the noise from the vocal, and add reverb to it. Then I mix the vocal with the karaoke I used, and end up with one new soundtrack, then I add the new track to the video, and Bob's your uncle!
Oh! If your new soundtrack is still in wav format, you just need to convert it to mp3 first. For the video, I just use Virtualdub, a great free video editor. With that, you can adjust the color, sharpness, fades, etc. with the various special effects filters that come with it, and you can also download more filters for it from the web. After you've made all the video adjustments you want, then you just save the whole thing to the video format you prefer. Xvid avi's work great. Et voila! :)
WOW I am suprised that you are not pro yet. Maybe you should consider puting together a one man Karaoke show. My kid brother does this in FL & does quit well at it. He also does weddings & partys as a Karaoke director.
That's a possibility, but haven't performed alot in nightclubs, and bars. I've mainly done community theatre, which was alot of fun, but would be great to make a living at it, that's for sure! :)

We all love you here, wether it be in Cali or the Antartic! Starting tomorrow Jaime's friend Ryan will be housesitting here. He's injured and won't be in Malibu for the wedding. Poor schlubb. Jaime will be writing back soon after his mini-honeymoon (later a bigger one to come.) and I wondered what you thought of Kevin Spacey's Darin impersination and his rendition of this song? Wow! How did I miss your comment? Sorry I took so long in replying! Unless I did, but it didn't actually post. Oh well, hope you can forgive me! I know I get behind, but by a year? Lol! Anyway, to answer your question, I've collected karaokes over the years, online, and from friends. There are many karaoke sites where you can purchase songs. The site "We7" has a wealth of karaokes. Also, if there's any title you may be looking for, if I have it, I'd be happy to send it to you! No problem! :)

I despise people who try to imitatie Frank Sinatra because they simply never can come even CLOSE to him. However, you are one of the best I've heard in a LONG time...sounds like a mix of Bobby Darin & Frank with a jazzy sound. Brilliant.

Thank you!!! No, no lessons. Just started out, singing along with my Al Jolson, and Frank Sinatra records when I was a kid. I guess you could say that they were my singing teachers. You couldn't ask for better ones!!! :)

You've clearly got talent. You should take a few lessons to hone your skill. My sister-in-law is a excellent singer (she's trying out for the Mormon Tabernacle choir) and she credits the lessons for pushing her past talent and into greatness.
I heard that Madonna didn't start singing lessons until after she was famous--so don't think I'm saying you aren't good. I just think you've got potential that you haven't even tapped into yet.

Thanks so much, and I agree, lessons can never hurt! In his later years, Sinatra himself took lessons from Robert Merrill, to keep his voice strong for the demands that were put upon it. You can never stop learning!!! :)

Hi, Adrian! Thank you! Glad I made you smile, too! About the audio/video thing, basically what I do is record the video using my cam's mic, keeping the music at a low volume, so that it is mainly my vocal recorded in the audio. Then, with a video editor, I separate the audio from the video, and I clean up the noise from the vocal, and add reverb to it. Then I mix the vocal with the karaoke I used, and end up with one new soundtrack, then I add the new track to the video, and Bob's your uncle!

Oh! If your new soundtrack is still in wav format, you just need to convert it to mp3 first. For the video, I just use Virtualdub, a great free video editor. With that, you can adjust the color, sharpness, fades, etc. with the various special effects filters that come with it, and you can also download more filters for it from the web. After you've made all the video adjustments you want, then you just save the whole thing to the video format you prefer. Xvid avi's work great. Et voila! :)

WOW I am suprised that you are not pro yet. Maybe you should consider puting together a one man Karaoke show. My kid brother does this in FL & does quit well at it. He also does weddings & partys as a Karaoke director.

That's a possibility, but haven't performed alot in nightclubs, and bars. I've mainly done community theatre, which was alot of fun, but would be great to make a living at it, that's for sure! :)

Great job on this old Bobby Darin song. Did I just read you were on the Ed Sullivan Show? You don't look old enough. Thats a complement my man. If your not doing this for a living you should be. I wish I still could but I am 66 now & my days are gone but I sure miss it. 30 yrs of traveling all over the US took it's toll on my health but would do it all again if I could.
