Suck it pal.... where's your badarse RX7 link? For all your noxious haters... POST YOUR OWN FREAKING BETTER RX7 along with your gripe please. Otherwise, Shut the eff up. Nonetheless I'm flattered by all the haters; its pure acknowledgement of the platform that you are all visiting my video... For how else did u end up at "1JZ RX7" if you were not interested; or scared & looking to creep-a-peek at the competition. Again i say -- SUCK IT!!! :)
Thanks dude.. no kidding. There were on there when i bought the car. Long since changed out for a set of badazz BBS spoke wheels. :) Pics are on Photobucket - but stupid u tube doesn't let linking in comments. rccrawler . com/forum/testing-1-2-3/362176-test-link.html#post3528176 on the end of it --- that will link u to a photo and also give u a link to many pics of the car on Photobucket. Also can see my red MKIII 2JZ Supra in my photobucket albums.
If you are serious... she's for sale at the right price. What are you trying to spend is the question real question? I have $12k into this, that, and the other since i bought it for $19k. And it was alreday swapped, painted, chromed, dyno'd 415whp, and dammmm pretty when i bought it. I just made it more reliable, more complete, and prettier to the tune of an extra $12k. Completely straight with you, wouldn't let go for a penny less than $24,000.
I wonder how much that big 2JZgte disturbs the cars natural balance (aka front heavy??) I know that the original 13B-TT is extremely heavy for its size BUT its mounted right by the firewall, contributing to the close to 50/50 weight distribution ratio.
@cxbra -- yeah its disturbed, no doubt. But hey its not the worst or end of the world - car still pulls like mad. I'm not really a track guy or a race guy. So i enjoy the car and go fast here and there -- peops love to check it out so its a conversation piece i suppose. Northern OH roads are shiz everywhere and u have to always watch for WHEEL-EATING pot holes at normal speeds, let alone fast as this car wants to go. Car has all AC removed and is 1JZ -- not 2JZ.. fwiw. :)
@oliegr -- yeah car really made 415whp --- 19psi ---- i'm not certain what it can make stock -- or what you mean by stock. Stock internals etc -- the bottom end can withstand 600whp+ all stock. ARP Headstuds, etc --- hold more. The stock engine and twin turbos -- don't make alot of WHP due to flow issues. So single big turbo, more fuel, and better air flow - is more effective for getting higher whp.
@elbowgreasey i mean (stock)...(no engine open rebuild)...only turbo intercooler,program,exaust,injectors and more lil stuffs....i dont wanna broke engine...understand what i mean :p
I don't disagree folks entirely -- i like rotary RX7's although i've not owned one. They sure hummmm on the top end and wind out like crazy. This car simply happens to have sweet inline 6 turbo in it. I'm thinking for the collector's license plate... "EATZ V8S" -- what you think? or "SUPRA 7" or "NOROTRS". The comment that the reason RX7's are so light is because of the engine is B.S. and incorrect in my opinion. Do some research on the "NoRotors" website.. where the swappers go...
@elbowgreasey - on NoRotors dot com you will see that the "rats nest" costs alot of extra weight, people are easily putting LSx Corvette engines in these cars408's and/or 6.2 liter behemoths with aluminum block and they are weighing in AT or LESS than Rotary FD's. 2850, 2800lb --- some even weigh less stripped. Yes guys are taking out the bose system in so equipped cars and the AC system components saving weight.. but lighter is lighter. Upsrung weight too - lighter calipers, rotors, coilovrs
Please make more videos..........I've got to hear that 1jz GT35R Turbo spool up from a distance (echos off the trees)!! Kind of like how it was at the end of the other video........but more action!!
stock internals -- thanks. Yes i did want a Supra engine, so i bought an '88 MKIII with a 2JZ -- ya know what -- Supras are TOO damn pig heavy. This car is 415 whp on a junk piggyback Apexi Neo --- and will hang with 500whp MKVI Supras all day. Power-to-Weight baby!!! I can appreciate a Rotary for what it is --- but good rotary mechnics hard and/or expensive to come by and i'm not one of them. So pistons it is. Sorry to upset you, perhaps you should not be seraching for "RX7 + 1ZJ", eh?
Supras chassis are heavy, but the engines are pretty simple and really reliable/easier to get parts for.
The rx7, is light weight, but the Turbo engines are rats nests. Sure you can build em, but for the average Joe, the Rotary SEEMS complicated(even thought there are less moving parts) and most people fear what they don't know. I support the swap. I've had both piston and rotary. Times are changin, and so are the people buying the cars. The question is, can your ride compare?
@LordAkron if you have a local rotor machanic like i do, they are the simpliest engines ever, rotor block, manifold,intercooler,turbo,hardpipes, you can see all that just by lifting the bonnet you dont have to take off bits and peices to get to one part. and Rx7's FD3's pretty much are able to fit the same performance parts as a supra and they are cheaper to get. and i have had my rx7 for over 3years and not one little thing has gone wrong. and what makes rx7's so light is partly the engine.
@LordAkron i admit the standard rx7 engine is a rats nest, but mine is single turbo and you can see every part of the engine and that is why my friend the rx7 is the only car you can have a v-mount intercooler on
@LordAkron yea that is why the rotary is not for the average joe... and for all those swaped engine rx7... those are the average joe... the rats nest can be totally eliminated by single turbo which that drops at least 50lbs or if you want to stay Twin turbo you can simplify the rats nest down to a few lines dropping at least 10lbs
Good job on that car. Could use some better rims but I give it a solid 9 outta 10 :]

@1988montecarloss -- yeah all stock -- has ARP Head studs and MHG. The 1JZ bottom end will handle well over 500whp w/out issue.
