Suhan'allah, I love this lecture of his, I've seen it on Guide Us TV. I have just one question though: I've fallen in love with the nasheed at the beginning, can anyone tell me the name?
I advice muslims to take what the bible says with a pinch of salt, coz the islamic stand is not everything in their is true nor everything is false, so if a quote comes from bible it may be true, may be false or may be a mix of both, also i think the prophets that came at that time, remained valid till the next sharia did come in and thus in the Quran when jesus comes in and superceeds Moses he says Musadikal lima bina yadihe minat taurah, and surah jinn captures jinn talkin bout moses pbuh
I have one question. When the nonJew came to ISA PBUH when he said I have nothing to do with him, I am wondering who was that person supposed to follow? Who was his prophet then?
Well that person's own people would have received a prophet in the past with a specific guidance for them.
Regardless of that, I don't think that prophet Isa (as) would have said that though. The point the sheikh is making is that Isa (as) was sent to the children of Israel. However the sheikh does say that this anecdote is from the New Testament, and therefore Muslims should instantly be suspicious of the story's authenticity, because we all know the New Testament is not 100% reliable. :-)
in Islam we believe that Allah sent tribes and nation a prophet or a messenger. only about 25 prophets and messengers names where mentioned in the quran. but obviously there where more then that. those 25 were the major ones. Many prophets and messenger lived during the same time on different parts of the earth. Judgment day will not start until every soul had heard the message of Islam.
