  • You definitely have the best Boston- more than a feeling over on YT. Bravo!!!

  • excelente me mie !!

  • love the pillows!!

  • best cover i seen in YOUTUBE

  • @casperlpl23 Thanks!

  • @BuddyClontz sir , have you ever done a cover of FREEBIRD

  • best cover i seen in Youtube

  • how much is that Les Paul??? it looks amazing

  • @potterholic713 not cheap...LOL

  • @BuddyClontz i would assume :P XD

  • @BuddyClontz if you dont mind the price exactly please?

  • @TheBreddflock10 New this guitar will run between $4000-$6000, depending on exactly what grade of top, pickups, etc. you order. The price for a very nice used version of this model guitar is probably around $3000.

  • @BuddyClontz woooowww that is crazy and i thought my schecter custom was expensive it was 900 LOL

  • @potterholic713 You can by an Epiphone Version, basically there's a cheap epiphone Les Paul, and an Expensive Epiphone les Paul, the expensive one is around 800, and has a really good sound, not as good as gibson, but you'd be surprised how close, research it!

  • LOL hes playing chords on shorus on electric guitar LOL teach power chords dude

  • @yellowpwns97 LOL...I can play it either way of course! I just chose not to use power chords on this video. After all, they are certainly easier to play than standard chords.

  • @yellowpwns97 LOL well its his video so he can do whatever he wants LOL Besides a chord seems richer than a power chord LOL

  • @yellowpwns97 and in your videos you play...oh, you don't have any guitar videos...wonder why...dude

  • Gibson Les Paul Custom!?? I've always wanted one of those! Nice

  • i went to this cover bcoz that skinny guy was freaking me out...

  • You must have an awesome ear.. and thanks for taking the time to post such an elaborate video... I love the switching back and forth from the 12 string to electric.. keep them coming... I subbed..

  • @VerticalPraise4ONE Thank you!

  • lol i need to no how to play this song

  • you rock!

  • /watch?v=z9ZnS_sTHDk

  • what chords to the chorus? thanks!

  • that 12 string is orgazmic

  • The intro didn't sound too good on 12 strings, but apart from that awesome video! Finally someone who isn't lazy and actually plays the whole riff.

  • the backround is amazing...great cover...and is it a cream poster that one back there?

  • @7uptheirons Thanks! Yes...that is one of the Cream Posters from the reunion shows at Madison Square Garden in 2005. I was at 2 of the 3 shows and they were great.

  • Awsome cover

  • emotions please. But great job.

  • Great job bud.

  • what are the two bends at 3:40? is it 7th on the g and 7th on the b?

    Nice cover:D

  • Brilliant mate! Simple as that.

  • What kind of amp are you playing through? That sound is just unreal

  • @deadflowers5150 I was playing through my Fender Hot Rod DeVille 4-10.

  • that's probably the best cover I've heard yet :) Also you did a REALLY great solo. I hate to ask, but do you have tabs for that??

  • @MrRichardsome1 Thanks! No, I don;t have tabs. I play by ear totally.

  • @BuddyClontz darn, thanks anyway :)

  • Great job :)

  • @taittwins Thanks!

  • I'd like too visit your house, not in a weird way but I like the whole style you got going on.Very nice.

  • @SRV1DOORS1HENDRIX1 Well, my whole house does not look like this room...LOL Although I have almost completed a new room for thisstuff(art and instruments) which is about 2-3 times the size of the old one and soon I'll be moving all of my musical equipment into the new space. Eventually, I hope to get back to making some more videos. Thanks for watching.

  • Can you cover Higher Power by Boston?

  • that les paul is probably the most beautiful guitar i have ever seen since the heritage burst from custom shop! i bet that was over 3.5k!

  • @DanPotthast1 It's a nice guitar...

  • @BuddyClontz lol you're too modest! that guitar is drop dead gorgeous!!!!

  • heck yeah man you rock

  • I have the same guitar as you (gibson les paul 1968 custom shop with triple a flame top) :) But you play it so much better than me, great job!

  • love the cream poster behind you

    rock n roll

  • man, you ar unbelieverbly good i wish i could play like that, u played that perfectly, well done

  • Les Paul = Style

  • My my, Jesus christ bud, your a god :)

  • well done man :)

  • Nice vid Buddy, also great playing :) love the gibson, ps was wonderin what effects you use for the electric part ?

  • @TheSpacecowboy101 Thanks! I think the effects were basically reverb and some distortion from a Yamaha DG Stomp preamp, and that was all. I plugged it all into my Fender Hot Rod Deville 4-10 and that was it.

  • awsome job and nice les paul

  • Hey, this was GREAT all around!

  • @meadowqueen Thanks!

  • i envy your guitar man! my friend has a blue one they are so awesome :D

  • wow nice playing, and what a guitar :)

  • Nice, and yes the les paul is a def need for Boston tunes

  • I absolutely loved this cover- the les paul sounds so good through that amp!

  • @lliHmaS Thanks!

  • @BuddyClontz No thank You!

  • you sorta look buddy holly

  • I say this both literally and figuratively, Buddy: "You rock!"

  • give me your cream poster...please?

  • @6bonsctt I think I'll keep it. I do have a few more that I may sell eventually.

  • @BuddyClontz ..cool,well could you contact me when you do try to sell some,i maybe interested

  • You're a true genious Buddy on both electric and acoustic guitars.you've mastered them both.Ibelieve it's technique and skill that make a musician great regardless of brand or other so called effects.Keep up the good work . Ajoy to listen and watch.

  • @ben58862 Thank you for the kind words!

  • @DABEARS1088 I'm still learning myself...after all these years.

  • I'm learning this and going to favorite so I can look again later. Thanks for the help!

  • @jamesalindsay Well maybe I shouldn't say this because I'm a firm believer in the fact that you should have freedom of speech...but, 95% of that 10% are probably idiots in the literal sense of the word! I'm not implying that everyone should like what or how I play either...because more often than not, I am not satisfied with my playing either...LOL

  • i like ur tone and fingering, but why didn't you use power chords on the chorus? it gives it a simpler, but powerful effect, rather than the sound of full chords

  • @76bostonforever Thanks! I play it with power chords sometimes. It just happens that I used actual chords on this particular video. Sometimes I change things around and add little twists to a song just for the fun of it.

  • not bad friend, rock on!!!

  • Yeah, great job. Makes me pick up the guitar and keep trying to learn a little more every day.

  • Awesome cover, but i don't like the sound of 12-strings. It sounds weird.

  • Greatest cover I have ever seen !!!

  • I love this cover... you did a great job. My son has just had crack at a drum cover and I am sooo envious - I want to play it! Maybe one day...

  • @graemeguitar Thanks!

  • definetly the best cover of this song i've heard

  • @weareCrypticmetaphor Thank you!

  • Buddy Clontz has to be the most American name ever! anyway good cover

  • That was a really badass cover man

  • dude this is awesome

how did you get the "Tom Sholz" sound? what was your amp settings? Thanks!

  • This is just awsome

love the use of 2 guitars :)

  • Thanks!

  • I know I already commented here before, but this is a great cover you've done here.

I really like that Les Paul beautiful finish!

  • Thank you!

  • Thanks! I'll do some more Boston covers when I can get some free time...whenever that may be....LOL

  • Nice job!

What are you using for the overdrive on your Lester? I had a DeVille 4/10 and couldn't get that from it.

  • I used a setting on my Yamaha DG Stomp preamp.

  • you use barred chords on the chrous still sounds good tho :)

  • There's always more than one way to skin a cat! :-)

  • clear sound :D

  • hey man nice playing. can you do a cover of fly by night chiliwack? or maybe closer to the heart by rush? your an awosme player man keep on keepin on!

  • very very good ,but the notes could have flowed a little more

  • took the words right outta ma mouth

  • LOL

  • please please tell me ur amp setting for this, like the volume, gain, treble, middle, bass!!!!!!

  • Hey buddy. Could you tell me how to make the slide right before the chorus?

  • nice 12 string

  • I wish i could play like that. awesome 5/5

  • Great cover.

  • Thanks!

  • do you have the volume turned up pretty loud to get that nice distortion or is it mostly just your distortion pedal? i have a HotRod Deluxe and i'm curious as to how loud the Deville has to be turned up before it starts getting distorted. I like that wicked tone and that Les Paul, nice work!

  • Thanks! Some of it is from the pedal(Yamah DG Stomp) and some from the amp. The DeVille is a loud amp but it has a master volume that helps you get the tone without full volume..but even with that, it's a pretty loud amp.

  • Beautiful Les Paul !

  • Damn man! Very nice covers, like your videos.

I'm currently trying to learn the basics of guitar, taking lessons, buying books, etc, hopefully i can play like this in the future =D

  • Really enjoyed your video! Wish I could play...

  • Thanks! -BC

  • Thanks...but Boston is definitely the best one at "more Than A Feeling". -BC

  • Pretty good man. The only thing i can complain about is that he actually uses bar cords and not just g d c and shit but other than that nice job! I saw boston just a couple years ago unfortunately it was onlt Tom Scholz and some new guys but at least they had him all i care about is the guitarist great cover!

  • Absolutely fantastic.!

  • wow! great cover! that was really something else man!

  • Thanks! -BC

  • Buddy, you might find this funny. I saw Boston when their album first broke at Winterland in San Francisco in the 70's. They had a couple of encores, and then they came out and said "We are kind of a new band, so I hope you don't mind if we play another song again!" Never saw that before or since. How about a nice cover like you do!

  • Cool! I saw them once myself...but they didn't need to ask to an encore by that time because everyone was on their feet expecting one. They were great. -BC

  • Fantastic Job! I've always loved this song and never get tired of it.

  • Thanks! I've been a fan of Boston since I first heard the original Vinly LP back in 1976. -BC

  • You have the same "exact" taste in music as I...a 1st for me. You are an extremely gifted musician. All covers stay true to the original. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.

  • Thank you! -BC

  • Nice! You play some parts differently than they are posted on the guitar tabs online. It sounds much better.

  • Thanks! I don't use any Tab or written music. I play by ear only...so I play what I hear from the source recording and once in a while I get it right...LOL -BC

  • that les paul was beautiful! nice cover by the way!

  • Awesome Clontz. I bet you and Scholz of Boston would click! How about his self designed pedals in the 70s?! Was he a gifted tinkerer or what? Not many people today play their own instruments let alone design their own pedals! Great tunes! Love hearing that Rickenbacker on other vids.

  • Thanks! I'd like to meet Tom Scholtz....but musically he is way ahead of me so I know I couldn't keep up with him in that way...but still, I love the music he and Boston created. -BC

  • eh, alright. Not you played it right I guess. Might've been the sound quality or loudness.

  • This is a Sony Handycam video...not a studio recording. Trust me, there would be a huge difference in quality if I had done this in a studio. - BC

  • Thanks! -BC

  • It´s really more than a feeling! :-) Nice channel man. Congratulations from Brazil!

  • Thanks! -BC

  • Great cover, recently learned this song myself. I'm so jelious of all your great vintage axes. All I have is a $500 epi lp copy, a $100 nameless tele, and a $100 epi acoustic

  • Don't be envious..."Rome wasn't built in a day! " -BC

  • Love the song, and your cover dude. Sweet sound, real raw and rockin man!

  • Thank you! -BC

  • You don't have to show emotion, my friend, as long as you play well...

  • I have been accused more than once of keeping my emotions inside...LOL But it is there...I just don't make a scene for a You Tube Video. It's just not the purpose I make these video for. -BC

  • show some emotion, it looks like your posing for a picture.

  • :-) :-( :-0 :-P

  • This is great!

    Awesome cover!

That Les Paul Custom sure does sing!

  • Thank you! -BC

  • Im not being funny but do you think your famous or something, well done you played a great song pretty well, but whats with the bloody sign off at the end of the reply's ? " -BC "

  • I don't use TAB nor have I ever used them. I play by ear so I play what I hear...which means sometimes I get it "right"...but sometimes I don't. -BC

  • Awesome cover!

but you need to smile more! you're playing a Boston song!

    =)

  • Thanks! :-) -BC

  • This is...Really, REALLY good. I like how you played the acoustic and electric and then spliced them together, very nice.

  • Thank you! -BC

  • Very nice i've love all of your covers; keep on playing brother.

  • Thank you! -BC

  • groovin pad

  • Thanks! -BC

  • Buddy, I'll echo everyone's comments and say that you really knocked it out of the park this time. I'm curious as to the type of distortion box that you used. It sounds great!

  • Thanks! I used a distortion preset on my old Yamaha DG Stomp Box. -BC

  • you got a really nice guitar collection (and a nice living room, too.. :) )

like your clips. good sound and inspiring

  • Thanks! Actually that is not my living room but just a small room where I keep the guitars...but I am going to be moving them into a much larger space this year I hope. -BC

  • Hey BuddyClontz youre videos are great

  • Thanks! -BC

  • Forgot to add, you're playing my favourite ever Les Paul, the 68. Is there anything more beautiful to set your eyes on????

  • Yes...but I won't mention it here...LOL -BC

  • Dude,

Love the way you blended the acoustic and electric guitars....Buddy Clontz sounds almost like Tom Scholz

  • Thanks! -BC

  • Great cover! This is a fun song to play :)

  • Thanks! -BC

  • Hi,

That was an awesome cover. I loved how you switched from acoustic to electric. But might I ask, This song can be played on a 6 string right?

  • Thanks! Sure...a 6-string will do the job. -BC

  • That was really good. I admire you, man

Solo was really great, better than that, only the original..I guess =)

  • Thanks! -BC

  • dude nailes it, i really want that takamine, in thinking of getting that type of jumbo takamine in 6 string
