You forget while your supermajority can win the bill in congress it cant force the states and people to comply against their will such and act would constitute civil war. The problem here is that Americans expect services like health-care and schools without wanting to pay the taxes needed to support those services. Until America wakes up and understands this, no reform will ever happen. When Americans say, NO, this plan will raise my taxes, I just shake my head in disappointment of their intelligence.

If you want better services, you have to support the funds needed to pay for them.
