Let's be fair here. Has anyone ever watched Charlie's stand-up special? It might still be streaming on Netflix. Don't buy it. Stream it if you can; save your cash. Anyway... that special is terrible. He's a SUPREMELY funny dude when he's just being Charlie. But when he tries to contrive his personality into a stand-up routine, there's some sort of disconnect.

If he'd just get up there and be himself, it'd be great. What he's currently doing is fucking awful, and the audience let him know it.
