The do have a scissor bite and are very tough dogs. but a FACT you need to know is that this breed was bred to be loyal to humans. Their ultimate goal is to love and cherish people. Those are facts. Completely agree with dobe and rottie being great dogs, they wasnt bred for fighting and not naturally aggressive. SBT are naturally aggressive maybe not around people but DEF around other dogs which makes them unpredictable and a danger to the general public. You have your opinion i have mine!!

i think you will find rottweilers were origionally bred for herding. It wasnt till the 19th centuary that they were then used as guard dogs. Staffys were yes origionally bred for bull baiting your right ther BUT when the animal welfare laws came in and this was no longer allowed staffys were used for dog fighting as it was easy to disguise than bear and bull baiting they have a natural fighting instinct hence why the breed was used so its you that needs to get your facts right

I own boxers so not biased either way but i certainly wouldnt leave ANY breed of dog in a room with a child an if you do thats what you do its irresponsible!!! i have the most docile, non-aggressive dogs ever but i would not leave them in the same room as a child unattended there is always that 0.0000001 chance.

well that shows me that you dont trust your dogs and you have no confidence in the way you have raised and trained your dogs!!! my kids and dog are closer than family, and i can count on my dog protecting my kids when thay are out with him. he has never barked or shown any sign of being uncomfertable around them, they just dont bother him, i think the more irresponsible thing is having a dog you dont trust and that aint trained properly, that causes attacks, then the dog gets the blame!!!

No my dogs are not ''untrustable'' if thats actually a word. I am a registered breeder and all my dogs are temperament tested as excellant plus which is the highest u can get. I wouldnt leave a child unattended with my dogs or anyone elses dogs simply because people forget that at the end of the day they are dogs any breed could do damage if needed. i trust my girls but its certainly not worth the risk leaving them unattended with a child anything could happen.
