  • i like the wrapping.. its very comfortable!

  • Not wrapping between each finger? We all have our different ways.

  • Thanks, helped me a bunch! :D

  • OMG This video has been very helpful. I don't box (Kenpo Karate) but have a firm appreciation for it. I'm very terrible at wrapping my hands for sparring. Thank you for the post good stuff.

  • ohhhh..but i lost wieght im like 245 know and 5'10

  • cheers for posting the videos.

  • is this guy a biginner who is punching?

  • aaaand nothing between fingers...

  • i hate it when you do all that and the velcro side is down and you have to unwrap it and rewrap it!! its super annoying lol

  • @TheMedicFromHell u can always flip the wrap upside down lol

  • I DONT GIVE A RAP!!!!

  • thnx so much u have taught me alot for i am a beginner and when i turn 12 and join that tea ill be ready

  • im 5'9 and i weigh like 275...what would that make me is it a heavy wieght?

  • @THASICKBOYzENT 275 i shuge for a heavyweight, especialy a 5'9" heavyweight. Mike Tyson was listed as 5'11" but was actually close to 5'9", he was most effective around 220 lbs.

  • fucking ass hole.... im pakistani but even i can wrap musch better than this ass hole...... e didnt wrap between his knuckles idiot.........

  • @ghousevil It's meant to protect your small bones inside the wrist and hand. If you want knuckle protection, go wear gloves dipshit.

  • You Suck mine are 180 and it not work, You Can nothing about BOXING!!!!!!!!!!!

  • ur fucking retarded if you don't wrap the fingers then the wrap is going to come down and your knuckles will be exposed again

  • This video teaches you the best way to wrap your hands and was easy to remember when doing it on my own. Thanks!

  • Whatare wraps used for anyway? are they life bagg mits/boxing gloves?

  • gay

  • That was fed up but it was funny hahahahahhahahahahhahahah

  • just a reminder nick youre a huge faggot and i want to beat the shit out of you. and your coach is a senile old man with no boxing knowledge

  • the way he wrapped the gloves was almost flawless... thats a legit bc boxing championship wrap style... A+

  • You don't HAVE to wrap between fingers. A lot of boxers prefer it because it prevents your wrap from possibly rolling up your knuckles from inside their glove, and feel it gives a little more support. People who are telling him he sucks are either 12 or stupid because he's not doing it badly. He's protecting the knuckles and making sure the wrist won't roll and hurt the boxer.

  • fukin faggot rakis

  • @rakis10 You are the messy one. If you happen to know about boxing, you should know that's a perfect wrap. Period

  • @jukcoder right, and not all the people wrap between the fingers, here in italy we don't use to wrap between the fingers at all. We wrap our hands like that

  • umm, betwen the fingers would help...

  • you wouldnt really need in between fingers enless your fighting

  • guys help me......i only 14 and i have smaller hand what a size should i buy???

  • Even if you have small hands you can still use a full length wrap, provide a pad for the knuckles first, wrap between the fingers and any excess take it up to your wrist. Either that or buy some of the new style Gel pads by Everlast, you wear them like a glove under you gloves.

  • good advise

  • what a retard, didnt go inbetween the fingers like your suppose to

  • agree that he should've wrap other fingures as well

  • Many western style wraps don't go in between the fingers, I've seen this many time before. I prefer to wrap between the fingers, it provides more support.

  • @GeorgeP97 here in europe for example, in italy we don't use to go between the fingers

  • i've broken my hand, worried i'll never box again if it dosent heal well, SUCKS ASS!

  • The RingSide Mexican Wraps Are the Best....they have Elastic...on Them...which helps....I remember when i started Boxing I useto use Those Everlast Wraps that they sell at Big Five....those shit Suck...Big Time....they wont Protect shit....RingSide is the Best for Handwraps....

  • hey guys, please give me advice-- i got everlast tn: 108 wraps for boxing and i do not have enough space to go inbetween each individual finger... wat should i do ??

  • buy a bigger one that allows you to have all the bases covered.. i bet getting your broken hands fixed would cost much more than having a new proper bandage

  • Bitchslap the seller with the wraps you boaght off him

  • hahaha i should

  • damn the begging.could they just restart?seriously?its like within 10 seconds.

  • It's a pretty standard wrap; it will protect the hand well enough. I prefer my boxers wrap between the fingers, but there's nothing wrong with the wrapping style presented in this video. It's especially efficient if you happen to be using shorter wraps. Boxers have been wrapping their hands this way for decades.

  • i get wat u mean after watching this vid.i also prefer to wrap between the fingers.makes it feel like a glove.and adds a bit more protection to the knuckles.and plus it wont slide off.lol at how many times he wrapped that thumb.its like hez gonna fight with them instead of the knuckles

  • come one dude, it's a crappy wrap ... after a minute of intense fighting the wrap will slide off his knuckles.. See how it hitches up when he balls his hand into a wrist? it's a MUST to go between each fingher otherwise you are just doing an excercise in futility

  • This isn't being demonstrated as a wrap for "intense fighting." For such one would normally wrap with about 10-15 yards (that's 300-540 inches) of 2" gauze, secured with 6 feet of 1" tape (3/4" between the fingers).

If you're doing intense fighting with training wraps then you'd be best off finding a new coach.

  • These wraps are usually for pad work. It's a quicker wrap. For bagwork and sparring it's imperative to go between the fingers.

  • why the heck is he than going to such great lengths to protect the thumb if its for light padwork??/ thats baloney... no matter what you do, wrap your hands properly.. it will slide off even as you put your gloves on ... btw for padwork you dont even need wraps if it comes to that

  • With padwork you still need to wrap your hands. It keeps your gloves clean and it protects your writsts. If you don't wrap for padwork your gloves must smell like feet and moldy swiss cheese. Jesus, wrap youor hands for padwork man it just keeps stuff cleaner and it protects your wrist.

  • this wrap sucks.

  • dyou know what really sucks? your face

  • Thats quite a bad wrap, seems uncomfortable too, and might cut off circulation in thumb.

  • um is ther a right hand wrap and a left hand wrap and if there is does it matter plz help

  • thatz not a good wrap

  • 0:04 HAnd Wraaaping

  • people do their hand wraps differently, but as long as u wrap it good, it doesnt matter how u do it.

i do have a question, i'm switching to UFC styled gloves for my heavy bag, what length of hand wrap should i use for that? anyone know?

  • k no 1m is 3 ft so 3.5 m is 9 . something ft and this guy well not saying he did it wrong but most people i watch on videos go in between there fingers but this guy knows probably more about boxing then i do but most videos ive watched you go in between the knuckles oh um 1 m is 3 ft and like 3 inches so you will only have like 9 ft 9 inches

  • why the fuck are you fools watching theese videos if you post replies like this. obviously you dont need the help, as you get a lot of help from theese super powered 3 year olds. go fuck yourself. At least theese people are using YouTube to promote free information for people who cant afford to waste time or money like you fuckers. Regards. oh... and thanks for posting the videos. 5/5 :D

  • @username12382 AMEN!!!!

  • I ordered 3.5 meter wraps. Is that the same length as this?

  • oh no, im 3 years old, youve really hit me where it hurts. your an idiot

  • yes and your wrong. not any 3 year old can do this wrap. they have put this video up to help people, and you are just having a go at them for trying to help.

  • they go under your gloves for sparring and bouts u moron

  • mexican wrap.. what like a chicken wrap with hot sauce? tortilla wrap?

  • come mierda maricon

  • You have to go between the fingers also. Thats going to prevent your wrap for sliding down your hand. This is a shit wrap man.. lol

  • wow that was horrible ...... dont wrap your hand like that

  • terrible

  • What a shit wrap. Do not use this video if you have never wrapped your hands.

  • nothin to do with a "classic" hand wrap or mexican style ... what the fuck mexican style? all muay thai wrap between the fingers and that's since ever ... what a fucked up wrap ...

  • when he said mexican style he ment the kind of wrap that it was not the style

  • "thats a good wrap." Hahaha who the fuck are these idiots making these misinforming videos?

  • Anyone watching this trying to learn how to wrap...don't.

This is just horrible. I hate giving bad comments on vids but this has to be done.

Its as if the guy wrapping has never done it before. The thumb is wrapped (poorly at best) and thats it.

LOOK AT THE GAP BETWEEN HIS FINGERS AT THE END!!!!!

Watch right at the end when he holds a fist how much air is between the knuckles and bandage.

Haha good luck buddy, less you have granit knuckles, think you're gonna break them.

  • If you don't go thru the fingers, the wrist is not protected from being sprained when hooking.

    Horrible "wrap".

Sorry. That is not a wrap.

    That's just loops of glob.

  • i agree i do boxing and thats not how i do my hand wraps

  • Is it a must to warp the hand?

  • fuckin idiot dont train with that loser wat a stupid hand wrap

  • make a vid with a better one or shut up!

  • Why when i can sit here and laugh at the people usin this vid as real advice!! fuckin losers!!!

You should be protecting your knuckles and your rist, Dumb Fuckers

  • i guess a "good" wrap doesnt have to go between your knuckles lmao. wrapping hands that way hit the bag a few times, find out how much the skin tears and bleeds between your knuckles

  • wrong hand wrapping:))

  • I go between my fingers too.

  • how do i know the length of the handwrap i should buy?

  • 108 inch is standard

  • standard for women or children. 120 is classic, 180 is mexican, 220 is the best!

  • i would never wrap my hands that way but good vid.rated 5 stars

  • blink 182 u do need to rap ur hand whenever u hit any bag in the boxing gm to prevent injuries to ur hands. And if u feel like the raps are not enough u can use tape to with ur wraps.

  • just started boxing...how cruicial is hand wrapping..i use a little athletic tape on thumb knuckles and wrist but should i wrap for heavy bag or what??help, please

  • yeah wrapping your hands is pretty important on a heavy bag, if your going lite its not so crucial, but for sparring or doing pads you def. need to.keeps you from breaking or spraining your wrist, and it gives you a more solid and harder hit..you'll be able to tell the difference.this video sucks tho, thats not the correct way to wrap your hands.look on my profile, ive got a video under my favorites called muay thai-wrapping hands.check that one out, it the proper and best way to wrap your hands

  • the main part of hand wrapping is the wrist you can hit the bag wrong once and you wont be able to hit a bag for maybe the rest of the week so rap your wrist good and the knuckles =-]

  • hahahahahah thats not how you hand wrap

  • it's the classic way to wrap your hands, I think you are used to the mexican styled hand wraps when you go between your fingers.

  • I use the mexican style wraps, what is the difference of between the fingers and classic? Is between the fingers safer?

  • I personally don't like to go between the fingers anymore unless I am using Gauze. I did for many years until I broke my hand. (5th metacarpal, AKA boxers fracture). I prefer the idea of keeping my knuckles together than spreading them apart. I think this is a good video for beginners to follow until they are able to decide for themselves.

  • what does it mean mexican style hand rap

  • mexican handwraps are more elastic, as opposed to the pure cotton ones.

  • and usually longer

  • That's a good wrap to sprain your wrist.

    Sorry, sorry, sorry.

Build a foundation over the knuckle area then get in between those fingers at least once.

  • that's not how u hand rap ha ha ha

  • the guy in this video got his lights knocked out. This guy needs to work harder to pay for some kind of reconstructive surgery for his ugly wife, but the blonde he kept company with after vermont golden gloves can wrap my hands and anything else she would like. I question his boxing skill but i also question his taste in women. Hey if anyone knows who the blonde is tell her she is fierce

  • yes bigger... but not wiser ^^ xD

  • so you can use those like for a long time right? how often might i have to replace wraps?

  • hahaha noobs ^^ :P joke ^^ but this is not a good technique :/

  • no one laughed.

  • i know some kind of americans don't have humor^^ ;) and you don't have to laugh as long as i can laugh about it ;)

  • America > your country.

  • what the fuck are you talking about?

  • very bad wrap.. the palm wasn't left open, the knuckles aren't even really wrapped if you don't do a loop through the fingers and will just slide off.. this tutorial actually looks like all you do with a handwrap is make a cradle for the thumb..

  • I totally agree.

  • it seemed like protecting the knuckles is more important then protecting your wrist, which it's not. you have to remember that the knuckles are there to hurt your opponent, not cuddle him.

  • i'd prefer going between each finger. gives me mental relief :S and i think it protects our hands in a better way.

but thats his technique. cant say hes totally wrong.

  • yes (SatanzAdvocate)...You're right!

  • what if a handwrap doesnt have loop? mine doesnt

  • you fail forever

  • loooooooooooool

  • then u bought the wrong kind of handwrap...

  • no, no.. this is wrong, you gotta go between each finger.

  • suca

  • jaja this idiot doesnt know shit dude... he has to go between the fingers or the handwrap will get lose

  • man i dont mind mistakes in technique that some guys teach but you can really mess up young kids hands with such a wrap... the band is supposed to entwine EACH individual finger the same way you bandaged the thumb... each knuckle should be seated in a little pocket of bandage instead two major knuckles you spoke about are flopping in the wind

  • terrible

notice at the end when he makes a fist the wrap lifts an leaves the knuckles exposed makin the majority of the wrap pointless

  • See how in the end when he made a fist the wrap rode up a lil. I would suggest going through the fingers to prevent that so u dont mess up ur knuckles.

  • Thank you, important thing for beginer`s like me.

  • keep it up fellas...great vedios
