I once snuck backstage to get David Krakauer's autograph before he went onstage with the Detroit Symphony, but instead of being annoyed, he was very gracious. I was curious to see if he played an Albert system or any other unusual clarinet, but he plays an ordinary Boehm-system clarinet. He's also the only one I've ever seen do circular breathing onstage -- breathing in through his nose while simultaneously blowing into the horn.
