@piotrekherok Elena is 49 and she can still sing Queen of the night. Damrau is 38 and she is not even able to sing Olympia in tone.

I realize that Ariadne is not played by Fleming here, but i wonder if the production team was going for a Fleming- like Ariadne/ Prima Donna when they designed this production, or if maybe this was just a coincidence?

Splendid costuming, acting, and production concept!

I just don't like her technique in some places, but she has splendid technique and high notes in others!

She sounds very good -- all the notes and trills and technique are there -- but the role doesn't seem quite right for her. Maybe it this strange, dark production? The interpretation of the character as a "cougar" apparently haunted by the bloody ghosts of ex-lovers may be what's off here.

I don't think I like this.

I think it's too brutal and warbley and she's not very connected with the woman playing Ariadne.

Not my favorite Zerbinetta, although I admit that note she hits at 4:04 is impressive.

Wow. This is fantastic.  What a singer! I wish she would sing more of this lighter stuff. I think she's far better here than in a lot of her heavier stuff.

Incredible how fantastic La Mosuc sings this aria, right next to a constant repertoire that consists of a lot of really dramatic coloratura soprano roles like Violetta Valery, Donna Anna, Olympia-Antonia-Giulietta-Stel­la, Lucia, Amina,  Elvira (I Puritani), Anna Bolena, Maria Stuarda, Lucia etc.
