I like the easier access to the friends list, definitely an improvement. I need to check out the places displayed on the site more often. The horses that were displayed are amazing ^^
This really sounds like a cliched marketing video. None of your usual personality and infectious enthusiasm. There is nothing on the new site to help people find rentals. Seems to me the best way to encourage people to buy land is to help them to rent first..
Haha...that's what my girlfriend said he sounds extra professional. I think Torley just broke out his broadcasting skills for the videos for the new site.
There is a virtual world for sex if that's all you want, it's called RedLight Centre.
You should give it another try because it really is quite good. It can be an outlet for you artistic side, which Torley has tutorials to help you, it can bridge communities/countries and give you insight to other cultures, there's endless things to explore, experience.

When I first encountered the new site, I was like "whoa!....I don't like this one bit!", safe to say though I'm slowly adjusting to it...never been that good with change. ^.^
Although I'm debating on whether or not the length of residency will last considering the restriction of replica avatars on Sept 14th and how a lot of people will most likely not get rights to produce them from real world owners.
I ask how it'll affect those like Body Doubles, SL Heroes, Heroes Unlimited and others. O.o
May I suggest that, rather than complaining about how others choose to utilize Second Life, learn how to build, script, strengthen your creative forces and pick up new skills.
Oh, and stay away from all the drama queens in SL, unless you enjoy their nagging ;-)
I have not used SL since last year, due to my low spec PC and real life, but I will return one day. It's creative and tons of fun. I especially had fun sailing in SL, though I found much better boat sailing sims later.

lol the new SL took me by surprise, I went to look for something and had to check the address to be sure I was in the right place. ROFL. I think it looks nicer, but only time will tell how much more user friendly it is. I does seem there is a lot of changes happening. My guess would be trying to put a more professional look and try to get more corporations, schools, and nonprofits. Again only time will tell if it will work. Though eventually if is is SL or another grid, Snowcrash will happen.
I hope the indexing of inworld places is not done yet otherwise there are some bugs, SLAB doesn't even show up but other places where I have my SLAB items for sale ( only like 4 or 5 intems that is!) do actually come up. If I search inworld instead that on the new site SLAB does come up instead..Very weird...hm
