What annoys me more is such obvious, blatant undeserved pimping. All season long the judges and producers tried so hard to convince the audience Lauren is all that and more, but really is just a mediocre singer.

You can tell by the way, Carrie was encouraging her and Lauren felt more comfortable farther into the song. Since Lauren is 16, she just doesn't have the vocal power and Carrie knows it. Of course, not many singers have Carrie's vocal power to begin with it.

@brianok01 sorry, i disagree. Lauren is a GREAT singer, no doubt. However, she doesn't have Carrie's talent. You can compare any of Lauren's performances throughout the season with a performance like this one of Carrie's (Carrie was holding back) and Lauren is still not at her level. Carrie's voice is just so powerful. Even when she was 14 she was amazing. That doesn't mean Lauren's not good, just doesn't have Carrie's big voice.

She would of been able to keep up with carrie if she had her whole voice. And Carrie wasn't holding back. This song needs strong and steady vocals not belting out vocals. Songs like So Small and Just a Dream provid a huge voice which Lauren could of handled just as well as Carrie can.

Carrie Underwood has had a few years to really good at what she does. When she was on Idol people said the same things about her and look at her now. So how about we give Lauren a little time before you start bashing on her. She is only 16 and is already amazing. i honestly dont understand why so many people hate lauren.

@MrsBourque17 I am not putting down Lauren at all, never did as matter of fact, Carrie helped Lauren as much as possible. You can tell by the way, Carrie was encouraging her and Lauren felt more comfortable farther into the song. Since Lauren is 16, she just doesn't have the vocal power and Carrie knows it. Of course, not many singers have Carrie's vocal power to begin with it.

Bunch of haters!! they both are different women, different voices. They are going to SOUND different then, on the same song they sing together. Both have talent or else they wouldn't be where they are. They both are loved. Just shut up about who is better then who. They are not in a competition against each other. Carrie already won her competition against others on a DIFFERENT season, or did people forget that already??? NOW Lauren is up against completely different people THIS season.

I don't think this song is too big for Lauren, and I don't think her vocal cords being 'hurt' had anything to do with it. I think Carrie is just ridiculously good. Even if Lauren is good, she's just not as Carrie's level.

@brianok01 sorry, i disagree. Lauren is a GREAT singer, no doubt. However, she doesn't have Carrie's talent. You can compare any of Lauren's performances throughout the season with a performance like this one of Carrie's (Carrie was holding back) and Lauren is still not at her level. Carrie's voice is just so powerful. Even when she was 14 she was amazing. That doesn't mean Lauren's not good, just doesn't have Carrie's big voice.

@iceecream6 I respect your oppinion, but your wrong. Everyone progresses at a different level. And no one seems to understand that Lauren lost her voice at the finale. She would of been able to keep up with carrie if she had her whole voice. And Carrie wasn't holding back. This song needs strong and steady vocals not belting out vocals. Songs like So Small and Just a Dream provid a huge voice which Lauren could of handled just as well as Carrie can.

I really like Lauren, but she's more of a Taylor Swift-type singer. A singer with a smaller range but a pretty good voice.
