  • Ich bin glücklis, das ich Slade live par mal gesehen habe!!!Dank sie ....

  • CHECKMATE CARLPHONE/PROSLADE...I'VE EXPOSED YOU AND NOW PEOPLE WILL HAVE AN INSIGHT ON WHY YOUR SO FUCKING GAY.

  • slade are fuckin awesome... its a shame that they didn't make it big in the US

  • Among their VERY best in my book!

  • I clearly remember the great buzz of excitement for me when Slade came storming back into the charts with this song .They weren't as consistently brilliant as they had been in the 1970's but there were still some highlights.'My oh My ' and 'Cest la vie' were two (of several good songs ).

  • No, this is not good. Simple and no feeling.

  • @mothertown Oke not their best, but to say Slade has no feeling and is simple, WOW you have to listen to more of this band, I think you are ill-informed and prejudiced. I checked your channel> Gun s and Roses and all American rockbands are shit compared to Slade.

  • @mothertown OH..MY..GOD HEY, ANYBODY AND EVERYBODY, GOOGLE THIS FUCKING GUY'S NAME, HE IS ON ALL KINDS OF SLADE VIDEOS TALKING TO HIMSELF LIKE..'HEY THAT PROSLADE GUY IS A GENIUS"...FROM CARLPHONE

AND HE HAS PEOPLE THANKING THE TWO NAMES AT ONE LIKE "YOU ARE SO SMART AND RIGHT CARLPHONE AND PROSLADE"..OH BUT I TOLD THOSE PEOPLE THE TRUTH...MATE YOU BETTER NOT EVEN COME BACK ON.I JUST KILLED YOU...STOP BEING GAY FOR THIS GAY BAND AND GO-AWAY! PROSLADE IS CARLPHONE, ONLY WAY HE CAN MAKE FRIENDS

  • These lads may be getting on but the classic line-up should get together and blow us all away again. Talent never goes out fashion!

  • Cheers for posting, great stuff. Many moons ago i got the Slade Hits album WALL OF HITS but for some strange reason this track wasn't on it. May'be was put out on another label!?

  • angus young probably liked this video , it looks like him a bit

  • @edmanrocks The singer (Noddy Holder) was actually the first choice of AC/DC to replace Bon Scott but he decided to stick with Slade.

  • Отлично!!!

  • WHOA!!! Kiss ripped this off in "I love it loud"! freakin gene simmons...

  • @groundedsax Where would these rip off merchants Kiss have been if Slade had not predated them??????

  • Give anyone Don, Jim, Noddy and Dave, and with that energy they could light a city up!

  • I was there too. Yeah, they stole the show. But it was earned. No one gave them much notice when they went on. But by the end, they owned the festival. Noddy Holders is such a pro. getting the audience to do 'walk on' sealed it. Def Leppard got crucified for trying to follow that though. Joe Elliot caught a party can of beer in the nuts if i remember correctly.

  • Why all those doofuses just sitting there? They should be throwing chairs and smashing TVs. It's Slade, for f**ks sake!

  • WHERE IS YOUR HOUSE TEDDINGDUNCE SO WE WILL BRING IT DOWN HAHAHA.

HANG ON TEDDINGTROLL HAS NO HOUSE, AT 51 HE IS STILL LIVING WITH HIS MOMMY AND TROLLING ON SLADE UPLOADS MUPPET LOSER HAS NOTHING BETTER TO DO THAN ARGUING. WHAT A SAD EXISTENCE.

Where are you douglas tosser I am looking forward to the sickening thud when I bring you down.

  • @teddingtontcu DOUGLAS IS HERE U TOSSER THE PAVEMENT WILL BE ACROSS YOUR HEAD BEFORE U COULD EVEN MAKE A MOVE LOOSER.

  • Cartosser has a problem with processing information He considers that Slade wrote 'tunes' What is a tune You rank fucking idiot. This music is not melodic nor does it possess harmony. Yes it is repetitive, yes it is something you could shout from the terraces.....................but tuneful NO YOU FU*CKING RETARD. YOU ARE ONE SMALL BRAINED DUTCH RETARD FFFFFFFFFFUCCCCK U

  • @teddingtontcu THERE IS ONLY ONE FUCKIN RETARD HERE AND THAT IS YOU.you come on here every other day and make a pure arse of yourself. i think you should let some mates see what you have written and maybe just maybe they can lend you some support with your problem.if you realy dislike slade so much why keep coming back and make a total fool out yourself you muppet looser.in times gon by you would have been locked up to protect yourself from self harm.now fuck off you looney bastard

  • @douglasgh2 Well said, Mr. Douglas.

  • @teddingdonkey Hahahahaha I am not taking anything personal here from a brainless teddingtosser, I agree with Mr. Douglas hahahaha

  • No I like a realauthentic and magnificent band with real tunessuch as Slade. And I am laughing at wankers like teddingtheimbecile who have no real life and are frustrated at 51 arguing with verybody on this forum. You are a motherfucker at 51, and you have no interest to brag about and no life. That is why you are still trolling and arguing here muppet loser teddingloser. Slade are best UK band ever and multi millionaires and you are a fuckin nobody.

  • Dinosaur tossers It was shite then and now it looks so awful,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,truly awful

So you like men jigging about and using a guitar as a phallic symbol do you Carlphoney. You are a probable QQQQQQQQQQQQQQQuueeerrrrrrrrr.

  • Hahahahaha Teddingtosser you are taking your shite seriously here? Hahahahaha You need to delete your teddingtosser account and start a fresh one without the embarrassment. Muppet loser grow up and get a life. Best to you.

  • I have now been waiting for you for 53 mins you know where I am You fu*cking coward. Cmon the car park closes in 7 mins C*NT.

  • i SEND YOU THE FLIGHT NUMBER ETC. ON 4 SLADE UPLOADS WHERE YOU ARE SHITTING YOUR CRAP IDIOT AND YOU SAID YOU CAN T MAKE THE JOURNEY IN 24 HOURS FROM LONDON AREA TO BIRMINGHAM??? HAHAHA IT TOOK ME 90 MNTS TO FLY TO BIRMINGHAM FROM GERMANY, SO THAT MEANS YOU CAN T EVEN AFFORD A CAR OR EVEN A TRAINTICKET.

FUCKIN COWARD YERSELF, NOT A GOOD TRY TO WRIGGLE OUT OF IT !!!

  • You fu*king liar.....................you didnt send the details until now you F*UCKING COWARD.

  • these guys are incredible. no one touches them for pure melodic power rock and rock ballads. awesome song writing skill, musicianship, and simply incredible vocals.

  • @grazio599 SPOT ON THERE! EXACTLY MY VIEW!!! Could be the best and at least the most versatile rockband ever, they made REAL tunes in an unparallelled number of popstyles or genres. Not just making a piece of melodicless rock or music like many other music acts, including most of the so called 'Greatest'. Do you also think Slade are and were ridiculously underrated? Why are they not in the Hall of Fame?

  • a gaggle of geese, a drove of pigs,a troop of monkeys

perhaps.................... a 'tosser' of slade fans or even a 'brainless tosser' of slade fans

    HA HA HA

  • @teddingtontcu Teddingidiot, Birmingham calling, brainless wanker loser tosser I want to meet O.K.??? I won t bring your 'house' down coz you ain t got one....hahahaha. I win you lose???? Probably!!! I AM COMING AND I AM WELCOME, LOADS OF SLADE FANS IN YOUR COUNTRY I LOVE TO COME AND SEE YOU WANKER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • TEDDINGTOSSER I am flying into Birmingham the 11th. I will further you the flight details.

Noddy Holder lives in the same street as Wayne Rooney, the highest paid soccer player in your country. You live in the slumps of London?

See what someone comments about 'Weather Report", one of your many outrageous suggestions. You need to spread your anti-Slade religion on another cite, you fart.

So we meet next Saturday??? looking forward, first time for me to meet a lunatic wanker from the UK LOL

  • you have not listened full stop you twat,

What would be the use of asking you to listen to the mysterious traveller album or even black market. You would just take the piss.

try putting in 'caravanseri' by santana go on.

  • @teddingtontcu i hope u get ur appointment very soon cos ma computer is stinkin o shit with wot ur puting on it ur one case that our NHS will struggle with god bless our nurses and SLADE

  • WE LL BRING TEDDINGTROLL S HOUSE DOWN. HANG ON, HE HASN T GOT ONE, HE STILL LIVES WITH HIS MOMMY USING HER COMPUTER TRYING TO GET ARGUMENTS WITH SLADE FANS, MUPPET LOSER HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • TEDDINGTROLL NO YOU HAVE TO REVISIT TO THAT UPLOAD MAMA WEER ALL CRAZEE NOW. DON T TRY TO TAKE THAT DISCUSSION TO SOME PLACE ELSE. THAT PERSON ADMITTED HE DID NOT KNOW MANY SLADE SONGS LIKE YOU IGNORANT TWAT. SLADE MADE LOADS OF BEAUTIFUL GOSPEL AND ANTHEMS WITH BLENDED VOICES. VOCALLY SLADE WERE THE MOST DIVERSIFIED BAND EVER. SO BORROW MONEY FROM YOUR MOMMY AND BUY ALL SLADE CD s AND LISTEN FIRST BEFORE YOU MAKE ANOTHER BOLOWNY COMMENT AND MAKE YERSELF LOOK EVEN MORE SILLY ON THIS FORUM. BYE

  • The pair of you.....................one in Amsterdam, the other sucking frogs in the west indies. What do you know about music..................

Someone said the Sweet were better than Slade because the Slade were 'one person shouting. Hell yes, how perceptive. I must admit the Sweet were pretty awful as well, trannies.....................just like Sludge peering out from under a stone somewhere next to Venezuela..............they would laugh in Venezuela.

  • @teddingtontcu See my previous comment. O.K. Slade sucks O.K., can you get on with your life now at 51? Your mommy never taught you that, did she?

  • I wish I could have seen Slade live in their heyday. I know Slade II are still kicking around, but honestly. . .

  • Great song, the singer looks a lot like Kevin Dubrow (of Quiet Riot) in this video, this song should've been a major hit in the US

  • @Doobie1975 Hello Doobie 1975 Let me tell you why the US didnt buy into this.

    1. The Doobie Brothers

    2. The Allman Brothers

    3. Crosby Stills Nash and Young

    4. Weather Report

    5. The Eagles People in the states were listening to music!

  • @teddingtontcu LOL! Nobody needs education from a twathead with too lil brains!

Slade s style and dressing were too "flamboyant" for the conservative American Maybe you are American with little musical sophistication and lying that you are English, becoz you are also misled by Noddy s "wallpaper" dresses etc.

The "music" you are talking about is boring and they sounded the same for decades, Eagles and other crap you have listed did not have Slade s talent to evolve to new genres and sounds.

  • @teddingtontcu 1 word for you: GIBBERISH!

Grandpa, get over it and get a real life!!!

  • @teddingtontcu I do like all of those bands. Especially Weather Report. They were all a bit on the soft side though, wern't they? Not something you are going to to get up and get down too. I think you are comparing chalk and cheese there.

Slade would be more at home with the indie bands that are around now. They were a great pub band who got the recognition they deserved, except in The US.

It's all down to marketing and lucky breaks.

  • @christopauls don t feed the tedding troll, he is a tosser trying to 'argue' with Slade fans or people like you who like Slade. I haven t checked Weather Report. Can you recommend any of their numbers?

I agree with your comments on Slade. Good that I can have an intelligent conversation with someone on this forum. Cheers!!!

  • @proslade Have a listen to Birdland. That's Weather Report's best known song. Though you won't find much singing on it. Jaco Pastorius was the bass player. A brilliant piece of music, but I'm not sure why anyone would compare them to Slade. It would be like comparing Let Zeplin To Louie Armstrong.

  • @christopauls Thanks, it s a very good song. I did not know the band. Of course Slade cannot be compared to that. I even doubt if any band in the list of so called 100 'Greatest' gets anywhere near the versatility and live performance of Slade. Anyway, there is a frustrated tosser here arguing with Slade fans. Not a very appropriate place to do that here, is it???What a sad existence is that. Anyway, we have no time for that. Cheers and keep on rockinnnnnnnnnnn!!!

  • @proslade CHILLIN OOT NOY GETTIN INVOLVED WA THAT PRICK TONITE JUST SPREADIN TO SLADE FANS NOT TO REPLY TO THE TOSSER TEDDINGTONTCU EVERY OTHER COMMENTS ARE SENSIBLE BUT HE WAS DRIVING ME TO DRINK BUT IM SORTED NOW GOINT TO LISTEN TO GYPSY ROADHOG I THINK ITS BRILL ROCK ON SLADE FANS

  • @douglasgh2 You are absolutely right sir, I will stop feeding the tedding troll. Thank you for your advice. Cheers!

  • if u ever saw slade live they certainly bring the house down best band i have seen live and i seen some of the biggest bands of the seventys live nobodyi have heard come close to this band live

  • went to a cub disco in 1980 and the disco man never showed, but a leader had this new single in his car,and it got played all night 3 hours of slade well bring the house down,30 years later and it still makes me whince, I cant remember what I did yesterday, but I can still sing along with every slade tune on here the words seem to be burned in to my memory, who will be able to say that about a X factor winner /song in 3 weeks never mind 30 years

  • ill second that

  • Slade RocK!

War bei nem konzert in Neumarkt (GErmany) Bavaria) und es war einfach nur HAMMeR, 2. reihe :D

  • Noddy Holder is one the best rock vocalists ever

  • Kiss are HUGE Slade fans !

  • Somebody has to have tabs for this or a lesson on youtube for this song. I ll teach it to my band and will bring the house down. It will be on youtube

  • This sounds a lot like I Love it Loud by KISS, hey, they were Kiss' biggest influence and I love it loud came only 2 years after this.

  • what a hammer gig and comback that was in 1980!

  • what a hammer gig and comback that was in 1980!

  • SLADE rocks off asses

  • And THAT is Slade!!!!

My English is sooo bad-what i will say:

Slade was never better as this times.

  • this one should be played for the up and coming elections for the majority voters.

  • it was a fantastic comeback at the time....wish they would get back together again....just a few gigs to say thank you to their fans for being so loyal. I also want this to be the run out tune for Bristol Rovers fc.....

  • Lol! Motorhead. Can't believe anyone would mention them in the same breath as Slade.

  • @l8nlck

Yeah, motorhead only had 1 decent song, and don't even compare to Slade, however I will say Fastway compares and even sounds bit like Slade, the music and lead singer. There are some songs that I think could be one or the other.

  • i wish noddy holder could come back to slade

  • I had a BBC Friday Rock Show (good old Tommy Vance & Tony Wlison) Special "taped" from Reading 1980.

It featured Slade, Whitesnake, Def Leopard, Budgie and Krokus. ALL the bands did Bloody Brilliant Sets.

It would be good to know if any of this is available on CD or has been uploaded.

..............Oh by the way it's SIR NODD!

  • Fantastic to see Noddy really going for it.

Fantastic to see Slade back in the charts after the doldrum years.

Have loved them since 71 and was not surprised they stole Reading. What band could turn up virtually un-announced at a major rock festival, after having no hits for four years, being totally written off by the media and steal the show? The mighty Slade, that's who.

    The mighty Slade, that's who.

    The mighty Slade, that's who.

Long live The Mighty Slade !!

  • Love them great memories.

  • We have started a campaign on Facebook to get Slade to number one this summer. This is going to be a serious effort, so if you would like to see this happen, please join the Facebook group - Slade far far away way up the charts.

  • Hell Ya !

  • BLEW me away back then! Best comeback in and of the 80s in my mind.

  • good stuff

  • slade was one of the best out there at the time, their music was awesome,

  • This is kick butt material Slade did after their record contract in North America was cancelled, but before their rediscovery and were forced to sound like a hair band

  • public is shit

  • This Band SLADE could and would ROCK any band OFF the STAGE Best BAND EVER.............

  • c'mon give some respect to the Beatles!

  • @BarryMcGiffen Have you ever heard of a band called The Who? Now, think twice...

  • @alcalaed i have seen both slade and the who live enjoyed slade better than the who saying that the who are a brilliant band live brian moon awsome drummer

  • @MrKingkong1955 u know your music m8 ,,but who the hell is brian moon ,,,roflmao ,, u musta seen the who in your dreams for that one

  • @xcraig1961 sorry mate got his named mixed up with a who tribute band the drummer changed his surname to moon i have seen this band live they trashed all there gear what a waste of good musical intruments they were brilliant band live but i enjoyed slade live better

  • Awesome. I remember hearing a live version of this, and thinking it was Motorhead lol!

  • tí v prvej rade sa musia cítiť perfektne :-D si ich viem predstaviť :-)) hheh

  • Dad gave me a bunch of old slade tapes when I was about 8 years old. still listening to them, it's awesome. right now i'm listening to the greatets hits tape. great music!

  • Jimmy Lea for ever!

  • Kiss has maybe took that 0:00-0:05 part to their song ''I Love It Loud''. I might be wrong. Kiss has said that Slade has been one of the biggest influence to them.

  • I was at Reading '80 and here is my recollection....

39,999 people and me were pissed off that Ozzy's debut was cancelled. As the evening closed in I recall seeing a short stocky skinhead pushing in front of me. He was wearing a denim jacket with the words "Slade ain't dead" embroidered on his jacket.... something was about to happen. It did. Whilst this may not have been the most artistic gig I have seen, it was the rawest, most basic, truest good time gig I have been privelidged to witness.

  • i too was at reading 1980. i had gone to see Ozzys new band and was disappointed. However I was about to witness the greatest gig I ever seen in my life. SAll the other bands there were ,mafde to look rubbish. Everybody knew the Slade songs and as for musicianship and in anoyher dimension when it came to stage craft. Slade are often written out of histiory but were the greeartest rock band evere

  • i was there also it felt like history being made

  • Nonsense, Slade were great fun but no way were they the best band at Reading in 1980, I was really there and at Donnington in 1981 when they played there and at Port Vale in 1981 when Ozzy played and Motorhead were headliners.

  • @skree100 aLL TRUEFAX KOR

  • @skree100 I was there as well much for the same reason - Ozzy!. Def Leppard came on after Slade and had to give up as the crowd kept chanting for Slade. An absolutely fantastic band. Do u remember the toilet roll - Briliant touch!

  • total classic, I saw em live in 1981, one of the loudest and best gigs I've been to

  • SLADE at thier best, but they have such a diverse rep of material that 1 song or 1 album can never do them justice

  • Play-back

  • One strong rumour that went round in 1980 after Bon died was that Noddy from Slade might sing for AC/DC.

  • fuckin great, hope to see Move Over live one day....Sladev?

  • that base is AWSOME!!!!..make my speakers go sway insane!!!

  • Slade 4 ever the best Live Act. When nod and Jim comming back we all going to mars cüz there we find enough place for all the SLADE FANS.

    KEEP ON ROCKIN!!!!!!!!! LETS GO

  • the audience looked asleep...or were they waiting for Inglebert Humperdink to come on.

  • For fans since '72 like me THIS was THE comeback for the 80s...

  • is this heavy ?

  • su proste bohovsky !!!

  • noddy and the gang are the biz

    great sg by the way

  • fuckin noddy holder...kicks ass

  • ?????WHO ARE YOU?????

  • thanks for info

  • AC/DC orginally were scottish, the young brothers were born in Glasgow, but they emigrated to Australia. Sorry for my bad english, i'm a spanish guy :P

  • Comment removed

  • Noddy got offered to be front man for ACDC after Bon Scotts death.........

  • I just discoverd these guys and now im in love with them!

  • das geil das hört mein dad imma

  • They're somthing like Twisted Sister and Quiet Riot

  • Except Quiet Riot only got famous by covering Slade songs... None of their own work would ever sell, it's why they broke up.

  • you mean....quiet riot (slade cover band) and twisted sister are like slade

  • I'd say Twister Sister is more like Sweet, actually so was Quiet Riot, before Metal Health.

  • Englands Awnser to AC/DC!

    FUCKING LOVE SLADE

  • Isnt AC/DC from England? By the way, I believe to remember Slade rocked before AC/DC turned up, what a great time

  • AC/DC is the Australian band. The boys moved from England to Australia at early age. And they started to recording in Australia.

Also nowadays AC/DC singer (Brian Johnson) is British too.

  • Slade had performed before AC/DC turned out, so you cannot say that Slade is an answer to this Aussie band.

  • Now this is something else, a band giving an almighty one fingered salute to those who had written them off...epic

  • The best english rock band ......EVER

  • this band could take on any band live ,that is a fact

  • the begining of the song soulds like the gyob theme song

  • The fact that the audience is just sitting still through this entire performance is really quite laughable!

  • What about The Who ?

  • it sound so hard.....not like old slade, but it's great

  • Boy I sure miss wild, flamboyent guitar players.Dave was the master of crazy shit..

  • i saw slade at the reading festival and remember saying to my mate they will either get canned off or go down a storm.

    we all know what happend.

  • Def Leppard nearly got canned off when they tried to follow them at Reading. Legend has it that DL were number 3 on the bill, when they heard Slade were replacing Ozzy they insisted on being moved up to Number 2, AFTER Slade.

    Talk about DUMB!

I got thumbed down for saying that on another Slade thread. Def Leppard fans lurk everywhere, but it is a fact, following Slade was a dangerous think for any band to attempt!

  • Yep I was there too. It was a case of - follow that boys look and learn!!!

  • def leppard rock but they can no way match up to their masters, slade!

  • Would have LOVED to have been there, i can imagine a crowd hungry for raw meat after the set, and then on come Def Leppard....i am genuinely surprised they survived

  • Just superb

  • ..ass kickin` stuff, and thats a long time before ACDC was in the game...slade really rocks...

  • Mh the audience weren't quite there were they!

  • Who cares who is better than who.. What a load of crap. Slade were fantastic, Noddy had a superb growly voice and I remember them very fondly.. Great stuff.

  • To you tools poo-pooing the Slade\Kiss comments, Gene Simmons himself readily admits that if it weren't for Slade, Kiss as we know it wouldn't exist.

  • Saw them at Scunny Baths and Bardney Festival i think it was, they were absolutely superb

  • Anyone recognize what American band copied the initial chant?

Kiss -- I want to hear it loud

  • Screw kiss, and Screw Paul Stanley that consided piece of poop. Slade Is way better!

  • I want to hear it loud? is that even a song from KISS ?

and for the guy who said screw kiss, go fist yourself, KISS is way better then you ever will be

  • Absolut geil!! Slade!!!

  • I was lucky enough to see Slade live, so I know they were an arse kicking hard rock band that could get a graveyard of corpses on their feet.

Trouble is, there is so little live footage and most people just remember 'Merry Xmas' with the silly Glam Rock outfits. Slade loved dressing up, but that was just one phase, they were sharp suited (The 'n' betweens),Skinheads (Ambrose Slade), Glam during their most commercial phase (hence how they're remembered) Don't forget the Heavy Metal Priests look!

  • Music is very odd. Yet another Slade Kick ass song that I had not heard before. I don't know how Motley Crue, or any 80's hair band do a cover of this one, heck even Metallica could have done one...

  • I can imagine Motorhead doing a cover of lol When all me mates think of Slade they think of Merry Xmas Everybody but slade are for life not just for christmas

  • yeah great fuckin tour!!! i love this tour,, super over the top heavy lol.. jimmy lea.. fuckin leg-end!

  • such an under-rated slade fukn rulz first rock n' roll i ever heard :D

  • Loffing all the way to the Bank!! I always got them confused with Hocus-Pocus.

  • it's playback?

  • Yes, of course it is. But it is a good song.

  • Sodding fantastic.. take away the glam and Slade were always a rock band - no matter what they were wearing! Brilliant!!

  • I couldn´t agree with you more. My friends always laughed at me about slade , i am a great heavy rock fan and slade are up there with the best, shame they took the very commercial route

  • NOW that's what I call music!!!!!

  • good

  • Goods

  • I think slade were at their best during the mid 80's

  • ooh! i dunno m8, u got all that pre glam stuff they did, a very important part of uk music history!! i guess u just gotta check it out! and while were at it, how come no early demos have risen apart from the obvious ones?? in like a shot from ma gun! gospel.. raven et al..
