Back in the day if you had a British accent you were gold...so many acts came over from britain in a few short years...stunning really...so much different today...
Is it me or does Beiber look like Herman in this number...you gotta love the 60s everything was better ...the music...the cars....simple times and gas was 25 cents a gallon......somebody take me back please...
@roanokebarry yeah but just think its 1969, no cell phones, no computers, no internet...hmmmm..sounds okay to me, life was indeed simpler and a lot more fun..oh and the 60's & 70's had the best music of the 20th century..
Peter Noone was a patient of mine in 1967 and though he was extremely wealthy, he was the most humble man I've ever met. His songs contained his personal quest to tap the compassion within us all in a very brutal social paradigm. His right leg tick was cured, and he is now resting in Northampton comfortably, doing charity work. I deeply admire the man.
@purselady2 No security. Just a few feet between the crowd and the band back then. When i saw the the Mamas and Papas, in '66 the stage was not more than 4-5 foot high. Had front row seats. Same when I saw the Bee Gees, year later, right before the Fever tour. Front row seats, almost could have reached out and touched them.
Yeah...dig it no monitors.......he's in tune...and no computer to help correct his pitch like today....anybody who doesn't think these guys were good is daft.
great to see that opening nod to his mum -- he was a millionaire at 18 and first thing he did with the money was buy her a Swiss chalet... what a sweetheart son. She must have been so proud.
This is wild.... One of several acts from this era who actually performed live (not lip syncing). Of course Peter Noone can still sing. Again.... Impressive!!
@yungewaelter They broke up, but now Peter Noone is on tour with "Herman's Hermits" but it's not the originals guys except him. I just saw them last night, and they were awesome!

On this date in 1966 {Feb. 19th} "Listen People" entered Billboard's Hot Top 100; eventually it peaked at #3 and spent 9 weeks in the Top 100...
Was featured in the film "When The Boys Meet The Girls"...
Was the 8th of 9 straight records by the group to make Billboard's Top 10 in the years 1965 & 1966...

Nice to see clips of these songs performed live instead of synced.

@roanokebarry Yeah, and the dudes protesting Wall St. now were protesting the war in Nam then. The more things change the more they stay the same.

I wish I lived in the 60's. If I could go back in time I would love to see it and hear them in concert.
