Great song. Very faithful to the original live. This is a classic Farrar tune. Okemah was such a killer album as a whole. The lead guitar is fantastic here on this clip. It's so dark I can't tell for sure who it is- it looks like Brad Rice, but Chris Frame toured as well during this period. Either way- great playing and great feel for the music.
Brad only played a few shows, mostly festivals. He was on tour with Tift Merritt (prior commitment). It is, indeed, Chris Frame, currently of The Coalmen, though he is mostly a session player. James Walbourne (formerly of The Pernice Bros. and currently with The Pretenders) played the first leg of the tour. Brad played the summer fests and Chris played the second leg. Got to see all three, they were all excellent.
Its a shame Chris Frame is no longer with them.
