i had a cassette with this song and it was a various artist and didnt have the coverleaf for it (got it at a thrift store lol ) anyway i didnt know who sang this song til a week ago DUH !! blondie lol i used to listen to this song when id drive my car around yes im an 80s fan im 39 anyway great cover love how you sing it. !
nice, bring the reverb/volume down a bit, also open the door and window of your room, waves are flying all over the place and are overtaking your voice..
Perhaps a different interpretation, that exposes some of the undertone of pain in the song? I thinks it's a great cover, and perhaps a version with immediacy and current resonance. Great Job!
I just love women who play guitar!! Very sensitive treatment of this song. Well done. After hearing your take on it I had to take out my ax and try it for myself!
Great cover! The only quibble I might have is that since your voice is high to mid, you might want to add more bass to your guitar sound to flesh it out. Currently the highs are twingly with a wave of reverb behind it. Perhaps add a bit of mid and low to balance it?
you play guitar quite well & your voice has the same alto quality as Aimee Mann's. obviously you're influenced by her- your cover of "That's Just What You Are" is REALLY good. wow, and you're left handed too- Hendrix, McCartney- you're in good company! you should put together a band & tour- come to Texas! i'll be reviewing Aimee's show here in Dallas on Sept. 17

Sorry CheekyCunt,
I guess I should have expressed an uninformed opinion instead.
I guess that would have been more worth while. Maybe next time, after all your help, I'll be able to pull it off.
