Hey Mantic,

Just wondering how much lather you end up with in the breach after face lathering like this? I'm basically doing the same thing, with probably even thicker lather, but it only lasts 2 passes or so, and I need a small recharge for a third. I've got a dense silvertip brush. The breach isn't dry, but its not bursting with lather either. That said, if I squeeze the brush at the end, I get quite a nice amount of thick, emollient lather.

@jiddyification too many variables to give you a specific answer but try loading the brush a little more with cream/soap at the beginning.

Hey mantic .. Ive been using this brush for about a month now .. your videos inspired me .. anyways I'm new to traditional shaving .. I'm 19 and have used gillette products since Ive started shaving .. I find this way a lot more enjoyable and get a better with lathering this way.. I just wanted to ask you what kind of safety razor do you think I should start out with?

I transitioned to traditional shaving with this kit and it's definitely useable. In fact, I haven't been able to find any decent brushes locally, and just haven't gotten around to ordering one yet, so I'm still using this one and it does the job, just not really well, and it takes a little longer. The little bowl is actually kind of handy, and I liked the smell of the soap--I'm not a huge fan of overly fragranced shaving creams--I like the subtle stuff. I got a good deal on a Merkur, and have

@wcropp1 picked up some Wilkinson blades locally for a couple bucks, and gotten some Real Shaving Co. and some of the Bigelow Prorasso on sale, so as soon as I get a better brush I should be set for a while. Thanks for the informative videos.
