  • Kapoors are punjabi! but teh thing is they don't speak alot of punjabi and thats the reason rishi dosen't speak alot of punjabi! Neetu singh is punjabi aswell but im sure Ranbir dosn't speak punjabi either but thats dosen't eman hes not punjabi! :/

  • @JaydedGurl1. u dont know what ur talking about. The kapoors are pashtun hindus who migrated from afghanistan and peshawar before the partition of india. Some moved to punjab, H. Pradesh, Mumbia, Delhi. Those born in punjab have origins there, but ethnically they are pashtun. DO UR RESEARCH

  • kapoor are punjabi morons and we live around world doesn't were u live but blood is punjabi mates ...............

  • really i love anu !!

  • LOVE ANU !!!

  • its the effort that counts. rishi kapoor is not punjabi and has limited knowlege of punjabi langauge, just cuz he's playing a sikh role doesnt make him punjabi.

hindi is the national language of india so every indian should know it, punjabi is only a state language

  • @DERBYSHIRE4EVER i was talkin about the interviewer ........

  • @manider. so was I.

  • @DERBYSHIRE4EVER and who said rishi kapoor isnt punjabi ... he is punjabi u moron

  • @manider. rishi kapoor isnt punabi u dumb idiot. he's from mumbai, born and raised. he only has has punjabi ancestry.

  • @DERBYSHIRE4EVER Rishi Kapoor is a punjabi ,perhaps u would like to check his wikipedia..

  • @DERBYSHIRE4EVER Punjabi is an ethnicity, so you can be born/raised in Mumbai, but be a Punjabi, a Marathi, a Tamil or even a White... it's just stating you're ethnicity.

  • @roxor1080. Dude, it really isnt that simple. If ur referring to the Kapoor family. They were ethnic pashtun hindus from afghanistan and peshawar before the partition of indIa. Due to migration many were born in different areas in hindustan, including punjab. Those that were born in punjab were pashtun. As years went by their childrens were born all over india.

  • @RawalpindiBrittania Kapoors are Khatris, it means that they're Punjabi Hindus who, by the way, fought against Muslim (like Pashtun) armies ... the only thing that make people believe that they're Pashtun is because they were based in Peshawar, for commercial reasons ... but wasn't Prithviraj Kapoor himself born in Faisalabad, in Punjab ? Khatris have always been connected to Punjab (Kapoor, Oberois, Khanna, ...)

  • @roxor1080. I study family trees. Kapoor's roots are from afganistan, they migrated to hindustan during pre-partition india. Then after that they migrated to peshawar, llypur,, mumbia, delhi, H.pradesh. Basically they have pashtun ancestry.

  • @roxor1080. i'll give u a similar example. The Khans orginated from afghnistan. although now they're fucking everywhere. all over afganistan, india, pakistan, Bangladesh and a minority in Iran.

Khans can be punjabi, bengali, pashtun, e.t.c BUT they're ancestors were afghan, just like the Kapoors. do u understand? Migration scattered these families all over the place.

The primary country of origin is afghanistan, and ethnicity is pashtun, others came later.

  • @RawalpindiBrittania Yeah, and so ? Kapoors are Punjabi who went to Peshawar for business but KAPOOR is a KHATRI tribe name, it's well documented on the internet dude. It's like saying that a Ghilzai (Pashtun clan) is a Tamil or a Chaudhry has Chinese ancestry.

  • @roxor1080. Peshawar was the primary place that the kapoors lived, they went to punjab after. If u have been searching on wikepedia for information then u r a dumb fucker. do u know that wikepedia can be edited by anyone and is not written by proffessionals?

  • @RawalpindiBrittania ... Prithviraj Kapoor was born in FAISALABAD, and THEN, his FATHER MOVED for WORK for God's sake. What's complicate in this simple sentence ? If you're Punjabi and you move to Australia you're not an (ethnic) Australia !!! And Kapoors ARE connected to PUNJAB. KAPOOR, the name, ITSELF is a proof that they're Punjabi !!! DAMN DUDE, saying that a Kapoor is a Pashtun is really idiot. a KAPOOR can ONLY be a PUNJABI ... *BY DEFINITION*

  • @RawalpindiBrittania

your reasoning is flawed. If there ancestry is Afghan, than do ALL Punjabi's have Afghan ancestry/blood. PLus your walking a fine line, Punjabis and Pathans are neighbors, since Peshawar basically boarder Punjab by a few miles.

  • @shootforthemoon89. shows how much u know. the kapoors were hindu afghans. this is long before the british invaded hindustan. after this, migration started and the kapoor family moved to peshwar and punjab, which were the main cities. and again due to migration most live in mumbai.

    basically they have afghan roots

  • @manider. u r mistaken, someone with a punjabi background isnt automatically punjabi if he was born and raised in another state. he has a mixed background, his father was from faislabad (pakistan) and he himself has pashtun roots.

he is not considered a punjabi

  • dude ... either speak hindi punjabi or english :|

  • the interviewers lack of hindi is yet again exposed in this interview
