"Wherever we go". One thing I found out about the music industry in America is that wherever the Newsboys went they left a trail of unhappy people, unpaid bills, rudeness, bad attitudes. Even the ex-Newsboys I met had terrible stories about the band. There's not a lot of people who'd never trust Peter Furler, he's a shark.
He may have been a genuine nice guy at one stage but he's a self serving greedy man these days.

Christian music covers diverse topics of the human experience (struggles, grief, joy, happiness etc), the relationship between God and man, to doctrine, to God himself. From a musical perspective, it spans all genres. Christian music is not a genre; its average genres (rap, rock,pop,r&b etc.) centering around or influenced by religious messages. By far does it mean that "all Christian music sounds the same" because of such religious influences.
Not a Christian song? LOL...it is about witnessing, and spreading the good news. It is about how the world looks different, once the filth of the world is removed from the eyes. It is also about celebrating the faith, and not mourning it like so many religions do. Hey, it is okay to be happy to be saved, and to be Christian!

I know this song for like 2 years now. And every time I look between all my songs I find this one, over and over again. And when I turn it on it makes me feel happy.
This song always went through my head while playing a disciple in the Passion Play. Just thinking, much less listening would get my mood way up, yet focused on the part.

I agree Michael Tait will make things sound weird and different from Peter Furler and DC Talk has been gone for quite a few years now with Toby and Michael doing their own thing. Hard to believe Christians bash contemporary Christian music isn't it? Avoid the evil place off 250 brent lane in pensacola, florida, alot better places to go
Michael Tait actually did a great job as a Newsboy.! He doesnt sound like Peter...but the groups original sound is still there.They played at the Alive Festival this year with Michael Tait as the lead singer,and he did really good =).So I don't think he made things sound weird,the sound didnt really change at all =D
we'll see but it has to be somewhat different because tait is not australian I don't believe and that's one thing about the newsboys, you coud hear the australian accents and not just peter, from phil, paul, and others that were in the band, course a major reunion tour could come about where the newsboys and dc talk are both involved in. now wouldn't that be something!?!
It's sad but happy: Peter is not leading anymore, or singing or anything! and that guy from DC talk is moving in! WE DONT WANT HIM!!!! besides tobymac left DC talk and now that black guy!? DC talk is going bye-bye.
However, I do believe that in many ways the best is yet to come for the Newsboys, and the new CD, "In The Hands of God" points that way. I must agree with Duncan Phillips himself in that the best era is surely yet to come for the Newsboys now that Pete can focus more fully on songwriting, which is his gift and forte. I just always felt there was something special about having Phil and Pete both doing vocals... That was a nice pair. Peace!
Excellent video of the Newsboys. I never did see them in concert with Peter, Jeff, Duncan Paul, and Phil.... Looking at some of the clips, man.... Looks like they were fairly different just back then even. I miss Phil on the band.... The departure of Paul Colman was also a new curve in the road.... The end of Peter Furler as lead really struck me, though. We go from these five great individuals down to the quartet of Michael Tait, Duncan Phillips, Jody Davis, and Jeff Frankenstein... *sigh*

I miss Peter too, and when I found out he wasn't their singer anymore I was soo disappointed, I didn't even give the new guy a chance.
Well last month I went to a concert and newsboys where playing, I gave them a chance and you know what? I like the new guy too:)
Yes, I will always miss Peter ( he had the bed accent ever) but I don think any less of Tait.
And "Born Again" is a really amazing song- look it up if you haven't heard it.

I know this song for like 2 years now. And every time I look between all my songs I find this one, over and over again. And when I turn it on it makes me feel happy.

I meant he REALLY looks like my brother who has been battling mental illness for about 20 years. When I see Peter, I guess the Lord inspires me to believe God can help my dear brother. I didn't mean to insult Peter. I cry sometimes listening to them, God touches me.

I agree Michael Tait will make things sound weird and different from Peter Furler and DC Talk has been gone for quite a few years now with Toby and Michael doing their own thing. Hard to believe Christians bash contemporary Christian music isn't it? Avoid the evil place off 250 brent lane in pensacola, florida, alot better places to go

Michael Tait actually did a great job as a Newsboy.! He doesnt sound like Peter...but the groups original sound is still there.They played at the Alive Festival this year with Michael Tait as the lead singer,and he did really good =).So I don't think he made things sound weird,the sound didnt really change at all =D

we'll see but it has to be somewhat different because tait is not australian I don't believe and that's one thing about the newsboys, you coud hear the australian accents and not just peter, from phil, paul, and others that were in the band, course a major reunion tour could come about where the newsboys and dc talk are both involved in. now wouldn't that be something!?!

However, I do believe that in many ways the best is yet to come for the Newsboys, and the new CD, "In The Hands of God" points that way. I must agree with Duncan Phillips himself in that the best era is surely yet to come for the Newsboys now that Pete can focus more fully on songwriting, which is his gift and forte. I just always felt there was something special about having Phil and Pete both doing vocals... That was a nice pair. Peace!

Excellent video of the Newsboys. I never did see them in concert with Peter, Jeff, Duncan Paul, and Phil.... Looking at some of the clips, man.... Looks like they were fairly different just back then even. I miss Phil on the band.... The departure of Paul Colman was also a new curve in the road.... The end of Peter Furler as lead really struck me, though. We go from these five great individuals down to the quartet of Michael Tait, Duncan Phillips, Jody Davis, and Jeff Frankenstein... *sigh*
