@Fantablume Nein, eigentlich nicht. Es gibt gewisse Orte wo man sie häufig antrifft - aber ansonsten fallen sie keineswegs auf, da sie gar nicht diese präsenz vorweisen. An gewissen Orten, wie zB dem Bahnhof Zoo, sieht man des Öfteren die relativ jungen Leute, welche auf der Straße leben - ansonsten sind sie mir nirgends aufgefallen. Mittlerweile wohne ich 21 Jahre hier.

I agree that this is a choice for them and that there probably is some glam involved in their ideals. But, I also think that they're looking for something more visceral than the simple life we live on a day to day basis.
It's easy to lose sight of reality when everything is handed to you, and therefore you don't have a purpose(ie survival). So, choosing to live to live on the street is hungering for truth.

@Fantablume Nein, eigentlich nicht. Es gibt gewisse Orte wo man sie häufig antrifft - aber ansonsten fallen sie keineswegs auf, da sie gar nicht diese präsenz vorweisen. An gewissen Orten, wie zB dem Bahnhof Zoo, sieht man des Öfteren die relativ jungen Leute, welche auf der Straße leben - ansonsten sind sie mir nirgends aufgefallen. Mittlerweile wohne ich 21 Jahre hier.

I think the people that are saying that this isn't true or just the bad side of Berlin; these kids at least get some help with people that are willing to donate their time to better their country.
