@mandotoot those who know jimmy knew he died of bladder cancer. the person who drank himself to death lwas ralph stanleys brother carter. jimmy enjoyed his drink--but who doesn't like to tip the bottle once and a while. look foward to the next part of his interview--but how can you have video numbered 3.25? what happened during the other .75 of the video that could not be filmed? i guess it told you to fuck off
The last time I ssw Jimmy perform was at the Beanblossom reunion he had with JD and Paul a couple od years ago. What a show! They was perfect! It was just like way back when and Jimmy said to Paul, "Your tenor ain't lost nothin" and Paul said, "Yeah, the Lord has been good to me". I travelled over a thousand miles to see it and it was worth every mile! They was perfect.
I made the trip to see that show as well. JD and Paul were in very good form but Jimmy did not sound very good that night. I'm very glad I had the opportunity to see them though. Paul Williams sings and plays as good now as he did in the '50s.
